It means that I am that much more oppressed. LGBTQ+#$% AND Hispanic? Ya'll should just turn this forum into a blog run by yours truly.
That's the thing here. This is about woman's right and these Left leaning people suddenly don't care about their rights in sports. Utterly amazing how that works for some people. Woman seem to have conditional rights in sports.
Ridiculous ‘afraid to compete?’ in soccer- ECNL level girls aren’t on same level at age 10-12. Look up ECNL first. i’m not talking about recreational level 10 divisions down from the top age groups. Not some low level ringer at the Y fields. you are just so wrong nothing I can say will convince you
You want to let the expert in the sports decide, but you can’t remove the politics from the decision. If a particular sport bans transgender persons from participating, they get canceled by the left. They get threatened with bodily harm by the left. Social media nuts….go nuts. I could go on and on and on. So your solution doesn’t work unless the left agrees to allow the sports to make the decision and accept the decision without whining about it. That’s just not going to happen. But if we could guarantee that, I’m 100% for your solution. Personally, I think the best solution is just to open up all of the sports to both men and women, and anything in between, and let the cream rises to the top. If you’re not good enough to make the softball team, whether you’re a boy a girl or transgender, well, guess what… You don’t get to play
A lot of organizations have banned trans athletes. World Athletics. World Aquatics ... how were they cancelled?
Maybe “cancel” is too harsh a word, but bitched at, boycotted, called names, etc… the point is some people are pissed….e.g. — Trans runner barred from Olympics rips World Athletics' decision to 'maintain fairness' in women's sports try to ban trans people from High School sports in Massachusetts and see what happens
Yes,I would say that 'cancel' is too strong a word given that it's never come close to actually happening. Meanwhile, you claim all these horrible things 'the left' will do to an organization that bans trans athletes and your best example is a runner complaining that she was not allowed to race? That's a long way from the entire left threatening bodily harm, isn't it? But, yes, of course there are other people who have complained when trans athletes are banned, just like there are plenty of people who have complained when trans athletes have been allowed to compete. Your claim about how mean the left is looks pretty silly when you look at how upset 'the right' has gotten over Lia Thomas, Bud Light, etc.
So you’re saying when we raise a point about a topic on this board we also have to raise the counter point, otherwise we are “silly”. Sounds interesting. Does this ideal apply to everyone, or just the people you disagree with? If you think the single example I gave is isolated or typical….well then, I would suggest you read the news more often. Last school year it seemed like there were a few stories every week regarding Transgender people competing in High School/College athletics. But I admittedly did not keep count, I just tuned it out.
No. I didn't say anything remotely close to that. Uh, no. I don't think it's isolated. That's why I said "of course there are other people who have complained when trans athletes are banned." And,yes, there are lots of stories about trans athletes. Last year and now.
Don't you think the Penn swimmers were threatened with being cancelled? Penn Swimmers were told to not speak out about Lia Thomas or the "would regret it".
