I think this includes everything except baseball. No school above us will score any points for baseball. (maybe Virginia, but only a few at best) Even if we wind up 3 in the final poll, we would have 85 points and beat out.... GEORGIA. here is how the scoring works...
We have. Stanford, along with the University of Florida, are the only two schools to win a Capital One Cup in both the men's and women's divisions.
The Capital One Cup is not the same thing as the Director's Cup. It's the Director's Cup where we're the only school to finish in the Top 10 every year they've been compiling the award. I think they started in the early 90's. Here are the current standings without baseball figured in: FinalDIOverall (PDF) - National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics
When I can here to ball hitting his leg you know it had to have hurt baldy. I think Slater just wanted to stay in the game.
The Director's Cup gives equal weight to all sports, while the Capital One Cup gives triple weight to what they consider the "major" sports. The Director's Cup, to me, is better and more prestigious. Capital One Cup - Wikipedia NACDA Directors' Cup - Wikipedia
He was and will always be a POS. He brought that crappy old 3-4 defense to our team and that's (oddly enough... sarcasm of course) when we started sucking at defense..
Talk about a lack of self awareness. When I have time I have to read the comments - I would imagine this went over about as well as a 3rd and Grantham play call.
I was honestly flabbergasted they did not even check on him to give him a breather. That was honestly beyond amateur by Sully. At every single level of baseball you check on your pitcher immediately. Then they check on him after he falls off the mound. That was just ugly I get keeping him in the game at that point but he was noticeably throwing softer. He should have been yanked immediately. We ended up giving up 4 with 2 outs. There are always judgment decisions that we can debate in hindsight but this was obvious in real time. It was just really really bad.
Stanford has finished in the Top 10 every year as well. In fact they won 25 of the 28 years, and finished 2nd the other 3.
The replies are priceless "Does your bathroom scale have a mercy rule?" "Is there a rule for how many 3rd down conversions?" "would have made watching games you coach easier to swallow" "looks like your defense at Florida" It just goes on and on lol...hundreds of qoutes almost all roasting him
