I wonder what their average has been tonight with two strikes? Between the hits, HBP, and walks, it’s probably over .500
Momentjm gave us a 2-0 lead The problem was simply Cags could not throw a strike in the 2nd. You live and die by your arms, he got toasted. Once we fell behind 6-2 then we were shell shocked. But LSU didn’t do anything special in the 2nd LSU earned the 4th. We have them the 2nd
Agree but at your age, you might admit it was hard being a Gator when Georgia was whipping us every year it seems in the 70’s - 80’s era. We always thought we had the better team but we couldn’t win this game until 1984 and in the Spurrier/ Meyer eras. It was hard to take but I knew it would pass and it did. My last quarter of school, we were 0-10-1. I drank a lot of beer in those years. When our daughter was at UF, she saw us win two NC’s in basketball and one in football.
Nesbitt has battled his tail off, especially for someone who hasn't been given many opportunities. Good for him.
I remember those years very well and was at some of those games. Never waivered in my enthusiasm for being a Gator. In some ways, in made my zeal even stronger.
It could have been alot worse, imagine trying to win the first championship only to lose in the 3rd game
No doubt. However, in the end we don't have enough depth in the pen. As I said during season, losing Coppola and even Clemente were major blows. Coppola would have pitched tonight. Cags just was too inconsistent to expect him to deliver. What is a bit concerning is how quickly he loses it and doesn't adjust. The great ones adjust. Time will tell as this is his first season back. However, he needs to make major strides next season.
Prob is they keep missing then they have to throw a pitch down the middle and they have the green light to swing it feels like. We seemed to want to be a little less aggressive maybe we wanted to try and get pitch count up idk just talking at this point.
Nope..not even then..been following the Gators all my life...coaches from Graves to Napier, followed basketball since 1988, baseball around the same time..and it has never been difficult to be a Gator...I never give up..always support our teams..am I disappointed. Yeah..but never embarrassed...
My guy!! Love the kid. Another one that could give us a little more. Glad you said hasn’t been given opportunities. For as well as he pitched should have been given the opportunity to battle out of that.
