I recall as a kid, growing up in high school, a high school that was 97% white, our history teachers would just lay out what happened and that was always more than enough for the kids. Children are pretty smart and perceptive. A school needn't teach the kid what's morally right or wrong, the kids already know. That is unless they have crappy parents who teach them acting backwards is the way to go, which in that case no matter what that school teacher tries to drill into the kid's head, it's DOA to that kid.

Nothing wrong with teaching school kids about what happened during slavery or Jim Crow, but the school doesn't need to pile on. The kid's either going to get it or they're not. Those are perfectly reasonable and important parts of our history. Now once we get onto some of the crazy shit you're on here whining about constantly, I do fear the state will create more enemies by trying to force feed a narrative, rather than letting bygones be bygones. Forced indoctrination never ends well.
