Sweden panicked somewhat less than peer Western countries. It was the tallest midget in the room. In reaction to a theoretical rogue nanoparticle it did close high schools and universities. Banned mass gatherings. Paid people to stay home. Freaked out in nursing homes. And the government wobbled down the stretch and instituted limited lockdowns and mask advisories.

You didn't read the article did you? (Hint: what was the sole source of more than 1/4 of people?)

Seroprevalence is meaningless babble. Other tings that are meaningless babble: R0 Factor and Herd Immunity.

You should really read articles before commenting. It makes it seem more like you are listening rather than waiting to speak.

The shots are far from meaningless. They are vested with profound meaning. Essentially they are holy water against demons and woe betide! the infidels who refuse them.

No. Take the meaningless booster if you wish. You should understand the shot is irrelevant now and that was the point I made.

Okay, don't read the article before commenting. That is a strategy too, I guess. Of course, if you had read it, you would know that 26.1% of the population received antibodies from the vaccine alone, while another 47.7% have hybrid immunity.

Glad you got your alpha antibodies. Take the booster if you wish. It is not necessary.

Like I said, waiting to speak. You can tell because what you say doesn't change with infromation and often has nothing to do with what somebody posted. Maybe someday, you will learn to listen rather than wait to speak.

    LOL!

You know and understand these shots are meaningless for people today. Yet you want people to take them because you did.

If only we had put more focus on treatments. nc just showed that. And DeSantis was on top of it when it came to monoclonal. But you go take your booster lol!

Okay, I'll stop talking so you no longer have to wait and can just do what you want (talk). It doesn't really matter what other people say to you, you aren't actually listening.

Sounds good. You certainly did not add anything of substance. Other than try to imply the shot still makes sense.

That article is poorly written and in some cases not entirely correct….I think.

Antibodies are not just a marker of previous infection; part of their job is to help prevent future infection with the same pathogen. So, serosurveys can be used to understand levels of immunity in the population.

For some diseases, like measles, immunity is essentially lifelong, and having antibodies means you are protected. However, for SARS-CoV-2 this is not the case, because the virus has continually evolved new variants that are able to reinfect people despite their antibodies.

Long term while some antibodies stick around I think it is the T cells and B cells that provide the longer term defenses - B cells activate more antibodies.

Also part of the reason for reinfection is Covid incubates faster than long term defenses, unlike measels, polio etc where long term defenses act faster than disease incubation.
