So how many competitive cycling events governed by US Cycling have you entered? How much time have you spent considering different rule changes for the sport? You also felt comfortable discussing swimming. Do you do that competitively too? And once again, you end by lying about me and what was a clearly stated position that you didn't like, because it didn't serve your needs.
Raced in about 50 races or so when I was in my 20's-30's, not counting Triathlons(too many to count). Thanks for asking. My kids swam growing up and I swam when in triathlons. How am I lying? You are for trans athletes competing if allowed by governing bodies. It's ok to own it.
Governing bodies. That doesn't mean they don't make dumb decisions. Some most likely haven't made decisions because it's not politically correct to be against trans women competing. They are most likely afraid of blowback.

Thanks for agreeing with me. Governing boards should set the rules. That is my whole position. Wait, so in one post, you are claiming that 70% of people want this, and in another post, you are claiming that they are afraid of blowback if they do the popular thing? Perhaps, and I know this seems a bit out there, they are doing what they think is best for their sport (which, given the incredibly large amount of time and energy that they have committed to that sport, they really love) and that might not sometimes match with your personal preferences. And that is, and I know this is hard, okay and doesn't make their decision making "dumb."
There isn't any confusion. 70% of the public is against Trans athletes competing against females. That has zero to do with how the MSM portrays anything that goes against the LGBTQ community. If you don't think politics plays a part in governing bodies making decisions than that's on you. The "popular" thing doesn't always mean everyone is on board with it and it's an easy decision.

Since some governing bodies decided to sit on their hands then it will lead to politicians getting involved.
Again, you are arguing that the public is for one position, but the reason that the board might take the other position is that they are scared of the public (i.e., backlash) for taking the public's preferred position. Or, and this is a simpler explanation than them being afraid of public backlash due to taking a popular position, perhaps they are trying to do what is best for their sport, and that should be the default position without evidence to the contrary.
Md makes a fair point. If there was a women’s division of auto racing, a man wouldn’t have much of an advantage there. Nor would he likely have one in women’s gymnastics, where being smaller and more flexible are advantages that cis women would have. Each world sport body should evaluate it as they have already started doing, the question is around how high schools handle it. The NCAA can govern college, but big schools are a hodge lodge of rules and nit always qualified people. But for the vast majority of sports I think it’s clear there is one, it’s just a question of degrees.
I think governments will have a say when it comes to public schools, scholarships, and issues such as Title IX in order to ensure fairness and opportunities for girls and women. I think private sports associations, leagues, and entertainment companies can handle decisions about sex and gender as I think they already do.
And so why would they care? Isn't the argument that the MSM would influence the public and that is the issue? You think a board member cares about what a newspaper columnist or a TV talking head says without an ability to influence the public?
Yes, a board member does care about what the MSM says. We just witnessed it during Covid. Anyone daring to question school closures or masks or vaxxing kids was labeled an extremist. This isn’t some conspiracy theory, it’s a fact the media overwhelmingly leans far left.
Afraid of getting cancelled most likely. And pretty much everyone cares about what is said about them.
