GatorJMDZ when asked if we should investigate Trump: GatorJMDZ when asked if we should investigate the Bidens:
@GatorJMDZ So this is your take in a nutshell: "Hunter Biden is guilty of other felonies but the special counsel chose this felony which won't be treated as a felony but that's okay because this felony isn't typically prosecuted."
First Biden claims that he doesn't know anything about his son's business dealings. Now he's claiming he's not in business with Hunter. Backtracking aside, in light of these WhatsApp messages coming out, shouldn't you stop inviting this guy to the White House? At what point does this warrant a further look and at what point is this guy so stupid he is directly enabling this appearance of blatant corruption? Again, at some point it's exactly what it looks like.
They're not contradictory, but one is far stronger than the other. Knowledge of something and working on something are two very different things.
This just gets worse and worse with you. My take is that people are rarely prosecuted for the crimes Hunter Biden is. The gun charge is rare. The tax charges are rare when someone has paid the obligations in full. For whatever reason, Trump's special counsel decided he wanted to charge Biden anyway. Because the current SCOTUS doesn't understand the historical context of the 2A, some really bad, pro-fiream opinions have been rendered. Rather than risk creating more bad law, the prosecutor used his inherent discretion to charge Biden with a different felony applicable to the incident and afford him the opportunity to participate in an established program for similarly situated individuals. See how much better it sounds when someone educated says it?
A rule of thumb for me is anybody who consistently requires the flaunting of their status as a lawyer to prove their point is not a good lawyer.
I was just thinking that the lawyers on this board (of which there are many) have been very patient with some of your arguments ETA: or maybe they’ve lost interest & have legal work to do
In the case of GatorJMDZ, the conversation always begins and ends with: "I'm right, you're wrong, I'm a lawyer, you're not." I wouldn't call that patience, that's just overtly appealing to authority.
This f***face is the ultimate narcissist. "I gotta take 200 selfies smokin' crack." Very strange dude.
3...2....1.... until David Weiss is called a deep state RINO. He is keeping a low profile because he knows the truth will get him excommunicated from the GOP and the MAGAts all over him. Where is Weiss? Why isnt he addressing the claims? Lets have a hearing so the magas can call him incompetent.
I was listening to Serious Trouble with Josh Barro and Ken White yesterday. Ken White is the legal expert, former Fed prosecutor. Josh was so trying to come up with an angle that HB got some form of special treatment and Ken conclusively blew every argument out of the water. Josh was trying to suggest that Weiss was trying to hide his independent decisions were forced by Biden functionaries. Reminded me why I won’t subscribe on the pay side despite loving Ken’s insight. Josh is one of those ostensible center left types who always take the MAGA side because he thinks lefties on Twitter are mean, so he is simply forced to embrace fascism.
Ds: Hunter didn't get special treatment. Rs: Hunter absolutely got special treatment. Ds: Trump had classified documents. Rs: So did Biden. Meanwhile: everyone forgets about the deals with Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, etc., and the politicians keep the gravy train running smoothly.
Yeah. Ken was saying that if Weiss was in the tank, he would not have brought charges against Hunter at all because the vast, vast number people that fail to file taxes don't get charged. Just going light on Hunter makes no sense given this plausible cover. But Ken, being diligently skeptical, also said we may learn more of the evidence of this Weiss v IRS controversy over time and to keep an open mind. I'm paraphrasing.
