Lol. Are you joking? Let's enjoy the win and root for a NC brother. Fan forums and baseball banter is an essential part of enjoying the game- a big part of the fun, and these should include critical observations.
My mention of disagrees and dislikes were not about you but posters in general that also added to these negative attitudes about other posters. It was not aimed at you but sharing my frustrations about this site in the midst of one of the greatest Gator Baseball seasons ever. But now your words "calling out a poster who has been down on this team all season" is so wrong. If you only knew the info shared and the ideas generated by him that have added so much to my roster/lineup thread and his willingness to imagine ways this team could improve, and his time out taken to attend as many practices and share his insights with us. It boggles my mind we are here after the biggest win of the season. Instead you only want to "make him own it" from some things posted many weeks ago. Quite honestly these are the situations that want me to take down my threads and keep our practice info to only those that can handle open discussion. This is my last comment on it. I wish you all well. Go Gators!
I don't follow the game threads during the games- with much respect for the work of the great Gatorgal- but I often read the post game comments, which I'm about to do right now. Before that, given the silly recent front-runner comments, I have to bet there were gripes that Gator batters had not been hitting this well, so far, in Omaha, and/or complaints that they scored too many runs today and didn't save some for tomorrow. Please tell me I'm wrong.
Up 15-3, I was wondering if Sully was going to remove Ficarotta in the bottom of the seventh and have him available for an inning or two Monday. I really like it that he threw 5 innings (78 pitches) and didn't walk anyone. My guess is he was around 30 pitches after the 5th and 6th.
I think Sully played it right, Ficc was already pretty deep and I'm not sure I wanted LSU to see him back to back games anyway....plus he had it working and we know there is no guarantee who we brought in would also have his stuff today. Just a huge bonus he could finish and save everyone else completely. I was thinking Waldrep or Jac would have to give us 7+, if not both of them. Now we don't quite have to rely on Jac to go deep which is always a concern with him
So you, MCB51, and a few others believe having 20 K's in last nights game woke up the UF bats? Based on that theory, LSU should score 35+ runs Monday night. Or does that theory only favor the Gators? That defies logic.
Oh get off it already. Let it go, so what someone else felt/feels differently than you do. Quite frankly you have hijacked what should be a celebration to rant about a single user. Go have a coke and a smoke and move on.
One way to look at, I just see it a different way. The writers direct reply didn’t shed any light for me, but that’s cool. Even Captain Obvious would have raised and eyebrow to their statement “and this is the game of baseball”. Big day tomorrow!
Or that maybe just maybe the ass kicking they received gave them the resolve to focus and change the outcome.
Slater is good to go as well. Cags just can’t implode in inning 1 or 2, and we’ve got a shot at a good defensive outcome.
Corndogs take it as an absolute certainty that they are winning tomorrow and it will not be close. The trap is set. Lets spring it.
Fair enough. I’ll remove my posts. Go gators! Lets finish this thing tomorrow! We will be in the stadium. Win or lose, I WILL NOT BE EMBARRASSED.
Today was a HUGE embarrassment for LSU baseball. A sports psychology book could surely be written after tomorrow’s game, regardless of the outcome. The hope of course is the good guys win.
