Well, it is an opportunity to ridicule our bayou doosh monkey adversary, and by extension corndog nation as a whole. Sully showed out a bit today in more ways than one. And hanging twenty-four runs on an LSU team that we've had shoved in our faces by the brain-trust in the broadcast booth makes me very happy. I got so distracted there for a minute by how much I dislike BSPN that I almost forgot to gloat over handing the CDs such a colossal ass-whipping - on such a huge stage. Shame on me.
How do you think LSU handles their pitching for Monday night? Just a guess, but I don't think Skenes starts, but will come in the game in the 6th or 7th if it's close or they have a lead. The only time he pitched on less than 5 days rest was Thursday against Wake Forest, when he had 4 days rest. If he pitches tomorrow, it will be on 3 days rest. With a multi-million dollar arm, does his family or agent want him to risk it? Gators can't get caught up in all that, though, as they have to focus on themselves, getting the pitching the need and quality at bats regardless of who is on the mound. They've got to be flying high after today's explosion.
I've got a bottle of Old Rip 10 that set me back $87. Just gotta know how to play the game and play it long. It'll pay off. Weller 12 cost me less than $40. At the moment, though, I'm enjoying a nine year Tennessee whiskey from Dickel and it's pretty durn good.
SEC Network just said that the last 7 teams to force a game 3 have all won game 3 and the national title. That momentum going to the final game is big. *Edit... It's 7 of the last 10 and 5 in a row, not 7 in a row. Still, 5 in a row shows how important a game 2 win is.
That would be my guess. However if start shelling them early, he will come in quick and try to stop the bleeding. I would say we see him no more 3 innings tops. He has already pitched 240 orcso pitches in the CWS. He would be in on only 3 days rest. I dont see Skenes (sp), going more than that. He is about to a sign a huge contract, and he aint to blow that by putting his arm in a lot of jeopardy.
Yeah, we can't worry about Skenes. He might play but I think it would be limited. I like our chances tomorrow if our staff can all have good outings.
I watched every pitch last night and we lost. Today storms knocked out my power so I missed the game and I didn't watch the '17 series, too much anxiety, so I think I'm skipping tomorrow's game.
I was going to dm you with this question. Skenes is an undeniable beast but four days rest isn’t the norm? And he’s thrown a lot of pitches. And it’s just college and he’s got a bright future. I’ve a better understanding of pitching in softball than baseball.
