My wife called me and was like why did Sully bring in Purnell there? As I have said all season long he is the perfect guy to go right on right with runners on. Totally different arm slot view and a lot of sink on his fastball. If you got a righty up and need a double play he is a great option.

Kind of surprised he stayed in but with LSU hitters wanting to be heroes and not being patient it has been working.

Hope he can get to Slater time.

Me too - as you mentioned he is kind of a specialist. I think Sully needed someone not named Slater or Fic to eat a couple innings
