Too distracted by umpires and crowd. Settle down and be who we are. Huddle up in the dugout and get in a good headspace. Edit: And for Gods sake show some FIGHT!
This is NOT an ump problem. This is a player problem. Their are simply outplaying ours at every level. Waldrep can't control the zone and they're not swinging at bad pitches. Their pitcher controls the zone and we are taking strikes and swinging at balls. Waldrep at 61 pitches, 15 batters faced, 4 hits, 4 walks, 1 hit batter. Really bad for a #1 draft pick. Still time, but they just look like the better team right now.
What Gator fan is happy right now? Honestly? Have we done much of anything in the finals worthy of being excited about? It's been a rough 24 hrs to say the least, offensively. And now our pitching is allll over the place.
The aggressive hitting approach by LSU is what we need …we walk a guy on 4 straight pitches , the next guy up sees a very hit able pitch on his first pitch and jumps all over it, LSU came to be aggressive and win and we look lost at the plate and tentative
Head missed 3 strike 3 calls for us.. Huge. Two pitches later RBI single then sac fly. Same exact pitch that was strike 3 when we had runners 2nd and 3rd. Those that know me I don't cry about the strike zone often.
Not claiming the ump is calling a good game, far from it. But waldrep is throwing plenty of stuff that ain't even close.
BOOOOO! (I'm just booing Wes Johnson, not what he does, just who he is, 'cause I think he's a horrible human being...)
