I’d take a large jar and put everyone’s name in it. Pull out a name and say, “OK , you bat first” and go on down the line. How have our 1, 2, and 3 batters been doing?
Slightly better than 50/50. Our boys' chances of winning both? Slightly worse than 25/75. Two nearly-evenly matched teams, just varying a bit because starting pitching.
All about mindset today. Smart aggression wins today. Can’t continue to let first pitch fastballs go by.
I believe our pitching will be there, question is will we continue to be undisciplined at the plate to anemic hitting wise.
No Cade Fisher or Brandon Neely out of the pen. Waldrep needs to be on and go deep into the game. And then Abner, Slater, etc. have to be solid. But the bats have got to get it going or we're toast.
If I’m sully I tell everyone swing at the first pitch unless it’s over the backstop or bouncing to the plate. Just be aggressive.
I find it funny how the poster who didn't have a good feeling about today's game deleted that post. Don't remember who it was, but they sure cleaned up their mess.
The posters doing the absolutely-certain criticizing are now complaining for being criticized. Dish it out, not take it, etc. It's ok to be wrong. Just take the lesson we ALL learned today: nobody knows anything. Have a little humility and patience. Baseball is weird.
If I were to tell you Waldrep wouldn't even make it out of the 3rd inning and we finished with Purnell and Ficarrotta out of the bullpen, how many here would have said we win by 20???? Anyone, anyone Well @Bazza basically did in the game thread.
