It’s a culture change that has been needed for awhile.

I’m not a coach (obviously) but this is a no brainer.

We have one of the most successful programs at putting players in the league , I can only imagine having these guys come back and hanging out with the recruits would be a huuuuge asset.
But I guess you have to care about recruiting to see that.

All coaches say they want former players to visit but it takes time and effort.

Now all we need to do is keep these big uglies and big nasties on the pushing sled all off-season long.

I’m always amazed this is even a thing. Why wouldn’t former players be allowed on the sidelines and welcomed around the program?

In the early 1900s, we all agreed: you know what, sure let’s have current players get on a field to play a game. Then decades later, people started saying: hey, let’s also focus on future players too. Ok fine, times change. But now you’re saying we need to be welcoming past players too? So here we are: past players, current players, and future players all on the field together. How do we even keep it straight? Pretty soon, someone is going to end up being their own grandfather.

I’m sure there has to be a limit on how many are allowed, you can just line the sidelines with former players. And what if a former player turns out to be an A hole that you’d rather not have around? I love it when the legends show up during the big games.

Back in my day (mid to late 70's)... we would leave Yon Hall and go right down the road, two blocks over to Tolbert Hall to check out the babes.
The only problem was that back in that time, all the girl's dorms were locked up.
The girls could exit the doors to the stairwells but you did not have access from the stairwell.
    The solution:
Bought me a couple of cheap harmonicas over at Lillian's Music Store and learned how to play the dang thing.
Grabbed me a fellow pot head friend who sang and played guitar and we went back over to that Tolbert stairwell that was fully tiled on all the walls. (great acoustics).
After less than 10 minutes, a beautiful halter topped coed would unlock the door and asked us if her and her friends could all come out and hear us play.
    Well...heck...sure...I guess so...

I’d guess most of the women are also? That would explain a lot. Water as far as the eye can see I’m not a drop to drink.

Wasn't there a former player recently who was told he couldn't be on the sidelines because he was interfering?
