Have to be major changes tomorrow to win. Absolutely can happen BUT gotta recognize not playing Oral Roberts. What does anything after realize that you have to have quality at bat company/fight every at bat. Striking out 75% of time cannot happen. Simple concept but gotta put bat on ball.
One quote - no idea though. Maybe ask them? Probably fear LSU’s momentum and our poor hitting? I could understand that.
Needs to show up tomorrow. Hitting hasn’t won games. Pitching has in the CWS. Hitting has been not good.
The good/bad thing is tomorrow is a must, or it’s pack all the gear up. No bigger motivator than that. The O&B aluminum thunder needs to finally get cranked up, please!
My friend was at the game...said lsu fans were obnoxious, singing "we are the Champions as they were walking out of the stadium
Because we reached the College World Series… and our bats got us there? Yeah.. that’s at the top of the list.
If that happens, we take the momentum back even though it will be all tied up. Our bats need to put fear into them.
I know a ton - great fans at every University. LSU fans are some of the most passionate though. Everyone in the state grows up loving them.
You have to be joking? If anyone moves lead off it should be Halter. Robertson can't hit or bunt. Then again neither can 3/4 of this lineup.
This game was just like game 1 against South Carolina in 2011. Had golden ops to win it, lost by a matter of inches. Tomorrow will be very difficult.
However it shakes out …it was a special season. There are 297 teams that would give away just about anything to be where we are. We have the perfect mix of Senior leadership, talented youth and everyone in this lineup… EVERY ONE of them has come up big in big time moments when we needed it. And you never know who it will come from. LSU has like 5 dudes. I still like our chances. Gett’r Done!
Tip your hat to Ty Floyd. The late life on his fastball was really good and when he is throwing his secondary pitches for strikes as he did tonight, he can be very tough to hit. Several scouts in Omaha say Floyd has the best “swing and miss” fastball of any pitcher in the CWS, including Skenes, and after tonight, I agree. Floyd basically did the same thing against Wake earlier this week for the first five innings allowing no runs on two hits with 10 strikeouts before losing it in the sixth with three walks and getting pulled. Unfortunately tonight, he never lost it. Mr. Floyd has made himself a bunch of money this week in Omaha.
