LAB LEAK: THE THEORY THAT WON’T DIE
Covid’s supposed lab leak “origin” was back in the headlines this week, as US officials revealed the first three people to contract “Covid” were researchers who worked at the Wuhan institute of virology.

First off, and it’s important people understand this: they can have absolutely no way of knowing this. It is made up.

Second, why are they saying it? Why now after three years?

Probably because more and more people are coming around to the idea Covid wasn’t ever a real “pandemic”, or even a real disease, but rather a rebranding of totally normal respiratory diseases endemic all over the world.

That can’t ever be allowed to take hold, and in the event it gains any mainstream traction they will “reveal the truth” or even “punish those responsible” to divert public anger.

In the meantime, they drip-feed evidence to the public to keep their escape path clear. Like a fire exit, “do not block this door”.

“In case of emergency, pretend it came from a lab.”

Don't worry, NCgator will be along to say it's some wet market animal and there is no chance it's from the lab...

Neither lab nor bat. Just a mental construct. That’s what we turned the world upside down for.

I may be wrong but I don’t think it is definitively known that they were infected with Covid

First People Sickened By COVID-19 Were Chinese Scientists At Wuhan Institute Of Virology, Say US Government Sources

When a source was asked how certain they were that these were the identities of the three WIV scientists who developed symptoms consistent with COVID-19 in the fall of 2019, we were told, “100%”

No unique symptoms. No new disease. Simply an occasion to sow the sort of panic which is still evident in grown-ass men on this forum.

Looks like there may be a slim thread of reasonable posters still attempting to discuss the virus from a knowledgable perspective. The rest of the thread is likely full-blown covid conspiracy nonsense. I can't be too sure, as I blocked 95 years ago and finally got sick and tired enough of Qs BS to say good riddance.

Only neither Ben Wu, nor any of the other researchers at the lab actually had COVID. So, details.

Rand Paul does not even merit being called a crackpot he is such a useless charlatan.

The first monoclonal anti-body targeted at people with compromised immune systems and those cannot otherwise be vaccinated successfully. The study was initially started pre-Omicron and data showed a 70% relative reduction in risk of developing an infection. In a smaller group of ~425 tested during Omicron, a relative reduction in risk of infection was 40%. Not great, but this is the fist prophylaxis treatment since Evusheld stopping being effective.

How is this different or better than Paxlovid?

Paxlovid is given to those after infection and it inhibits viral replication. This is a monoclonal antibody (or synthetic antibody for those who cannot produce their own) that can also be used post infection (the study showed it had a 70% reduction in progression to severe disease), but like Evusheld, this can be given to those with compromised immune systems and it can take the place of their own antibodies, thus preventing infection.
