From what little I kind find about the new coach, she has a reputation for being good with young pitchers and helping develop their skills and confidence.
I’ve heard a name for the 4th coach for a few weeks now, if that comes to fruition, I’ll be very curious to hear the responses to that potential hire.
As to the pitching coach hire, I’m just glad a hire was made. I’ll wait to see results and for someone to do a deep dive into her history. But now that that is out of the way, let’s get some arms. Need a depth piece or 2 for the rest of the roster as well, but I think the starters are set after the Otis transfer in.
Not Amanda due to personal reasons. I think she's stuck at Clemson for now. Haeger would be interesting to add assistance both hitting and pitching. Amanda would be awesome but I think could only happen if Sully hires her fiancé.
Yeah, I agree. I've heard a couple times this last week people (don't remember names) say I've heard this name or heard this .. but never say what they heard. If you're not going to say what you heard, why bother saying I heard this but not gonna say. It's kind of a crappy thing to do. Just my opinion.
Amanda may not be in Gainesville but she pounds social media every day with everything Gators. She never misses even the little things. I think she really does bleed Orange and Blue.
With the ongoing family tragedy, I would imagine things are in flux for Layla...and any eventuality with JoJo. If I was Walton, I would tell Layla that if, absent what is happening now, you would still want to be a Gator, then sign the NLI. There's still a year to go. If at any time during that year you decide you need to stay home and play for Duke, I'll release you from the NLI.
Yep in 2022. It seems to be a revolving door for assistant coaches at Duke. No one has stayed for more than 2 seasons. Program is still young, so they might be trying to find the best fit at the Assistant coaches position.
