I keep having visions of Napoleons return from exile where the GrandArmee, when confronting him, threw in with him on his march back to power.

    Who will the FSB support?

It’s just words but in the last few days Prigozhin has said war against Ukraine was unjustified so maybe there is hope he would pull back as that would be someone else’s shame. But no one should make any mistake, Prigozhin is every bit the enemy of the US as Putin. He’s founded several companies that have actively interfered with our elections.

The die was cast when Mr P would not sign the new military contract.

Agree, as Bling posted, another gangster, but a gangster that just went through the hellish cauldron of Bahkmut.

I think P would be more than happy to back out of Ukraine and gain the rest of the Russian Empire.

Not a bad trade off for him.

Initial reports this morning suggest Wagner is not being directly opposed in Rostov on Don.

My thoughts as well. He gets Russia and we help him do it in exchange for leaving the Ukraine alone.

Wagner advancing quickly towards Moscow. When sufficient numbers have amassed there will be a significant battle at some Russian line of defense OR they will just roll into Red Square largely unopposed and who knows what will happen.
All my opinion of course but those seem like the only outcomes. I think there will be a conflict just outside Moscow

Minor point of order: only Russians call it “the Ukraine” to suggest it is just a region of Russia, just as we would refer to the South or the Midwest. To Ukrainians, it is just Ukraine.

Did not know that. I will call it Ukraine only from now on. Appreciate that.

I recommend we issue (quietly and tactfully, of course) a strong and directly worded warning that if they use nuclear weapons, even on their own territory, they will be wholly at war with the United States. They are going to have to fight Wagner muzzle to muzzle.

Next 48 hours could see a change in world geo political politics and power structure.
    Hopefully nothing worse than that.

Hope I don't rue these words but I'm pulling for Mr. P.

MY HOPE is he has seen enough death and destruction to de escalate the conflict if he does sieze power. Podcasters are saying P won't give up Crimea.

Aren’t they both “Mr. P?” I’m rooting as usual for Ukraine.

I’m wondering if the usual Russian trolls on this site and others are getting new talking points right now or are just chewing on static.

I have noticed a considerable silence on their part.

I think Putin fleeing Moscow is the beginning of the end.
