Yes FSU did - Fresno State University!!

Yes, it is. I was in Omaha when FSU (Fresno) won it. We talked to their left fielder during two of their games.

 

Not buying it.

 

TV announcer (maybe Peterson) said during the game that Cags is only a year out from the TJ surgery and it is usually year two when fully back.

 

On true power guys that is correct.

 

Cags played last year as a DH.

So when did he have his TJ?

Kind of sounds like he is more than a year out but less than two years out.

Or did he "take it easy" on his off year by only hitting?

 

June 2021 is when he had the surgery.

 

Cags only played (DH) the last 28 games of the season last year.

 

Could Jac be something like this guy?

Caglianone is 6' 5", not quite as tall as "The Big Unit" Randy Johnson who stood 6' 10". But Randy also suffered from erratic wild pitching early on in his career at USC and later on as pro with the Mtl Expos. It took him a lot longer than a year to figure it out but it was sure worth it! At 303 MLB victories he's the 5th most winningest pitcher ever.

 

Cags is much better looking.

 

Great pitcher, but not the 5th most wins all time. He's 22nd on the list.

 

I'm going to miss this team....
