I'll say it again. WF should have pitched Lowder last night on short rest. Backed up by Johnny Wholestaff. All in like 7 did in 2017.

 

This has been an incredibly awesome World Series, fans getting their money’s worth.

Did you see him give props to the WF pitcher? Looked classy compared to some other corn dogs, especially fans. Looking forward to the 2 out of 3.

College World Series Pitch Count Rules 2023

Skenes threw 120 pitches tonight.

 

I just need our offense to finally show up and show out against LSU's pitchers. Wake Forest and Tennessee have made them look like an all-star lineup.

 

Yeah. They were playing like the #1 team. Not like champions. That's why I was hoping they'd pull it off (after guaging what they were made of).

No mind. Our boys are scrappy ass Champs!

Their last two games obviously they were way amped up. We will see and be ready to accept all challenges.

 

I’m hoping for two stress free, uninteresting, dominant victories. However if my heart is my throat the entire series and my aging is advanced to the point i can sign up for AARP that’s ok as long as our boys bring home the Natty!

 

I think we match up better with LSU, but that stadium will be filthy with the sent of corn-dogs.

Sorry, I don't think those rules are real. A Stanford pitcher threw 156 pitches in a super regional game against Texas two weeks ago, which that page says shouldn't have been allowed.

 

I don't get enough MLBrun.com, but where do they come up with this stuff?

When can Skenes pitch again according to the rules? Why is this so complicated?

 

I mean, if you're going to be nitpicky about this....

 

Important to remember LSU just played 4 straight days of baseball. 1 day off is okay but 1 game in 5 days is better. The Gators just have to go out there and take care of business on Saturday, can't assume anything, can't get complacent. LSU showed tonight that they are aggressive at the plate which helped keep the WF pitch count down. That should help Sproat if he adjusts and throws more breaking balls early. Let's see what the wind is doing come game time. The Gator hitters need to be aggressive as well, thinking that LSU will have trouble maintaining much energy after this week if we get ahead early. If the wind is blowing in Sully needs to open up the offense to get the scoring started early. Be ready to pounce after LSU boots one or throws one away. The crooked numbers will come if we just crack the lid off their pitchers. I hope Abner is better because we need a few LHP for a few short stays against their LH batters to keep them shut down late. Its one game at at time though and go win Game 1.
