Softball Transfer Portal

that is called coasting..last year we had a decent regular season and we had a good run until we got to OK city where we got blasted. We were outclassed by a long ways. This year we were highly rated and we were just terrible against good competition. It is not time to chill, this is a time where you make a decision to turn it back around by tweaking your style or be stubborn and maybe fall way behihnd. Like what was stated FSU has passed us by and taking the torch for the state as a program. I like CTW, but I dont like how this off season has progressed so far besides getting rid of the pitching coach

 

Ummm....he meant for you to chill, not Coach Walton lol. The refusal of fans to wait and see what a hall of fame coach, who has already landed a generational recruiting class, might do in the portal is fascinating.
Were we blasted in Oka City in our win in game one, or our loss in a heartbreaking game 2? We lost badly in one game to a very good UCLA, we were not outclassed. And that torch carrying team was watching on TV in Tallahassee. It really takes some effort to diminish a season that ends in Okla City

 

We as softball fans are given less information from coaches media etc than any other sport with the possible exception of cross country. The last thing I remember reading about the softball team was when Lexie entered the transfer portal. TW hasn't made a public statement in months.

 

I know he meant for me to chill, I am waiting..dont mean I cant voice my concerns. I keep hearing and seeing about the recruiting class, do we expect freshman to come in and dominate next year? That is living on a Bon Jovi prayer right there. We were crushed by UCLA..we were crushed by most good teams this season. We struggled with very avg teams. I am a very avid supporter of the softball team. I have watched them slowly slide until this last year. I have been around UF programs over 35 years so I am going to suport and I am also going to give my opinion when I dont think it is harmful or disrespectul. Sometimes even hall of fame coaches need to make tweaks here and there..Just ask SS about Bob Stoops

 

I get wanting to know and being curious. But no coach is sharing their hiring process, and they can't discuss recruiting so sitting tight is the only option.

 

You have watched them remain an elite program until this year. I've been around UF programs for 55 years and I know what we have in Walton is to be appreciated. You have every right to give your opinion, as do I.

 

I have to admit i'm not too stressed about us not hearing about any transfers yet. I have no idea why but our transfers roll in mid-late July. I am more worried about what's going on with the search for the new pitching coach. The position allegedly was offered to someone. Did he or she reject it? Was it accepted? if it was accepted when will the announcement be made?

 

I understand others concerns but atm I’m choosing to sit tight and wait. I can always worry or freak out later lol.

 

I hope it wasn’t offered to a certain (he) whose name I heard was possibly on the list. Anyways time will tell, I’ve faith that CTW isn’t going to run off with team USA and leave the Gators program in disarray. Patience is a choice and I choose it.

The Hokies ex assistant/pitching coach. Maybe just me (and of course nobody giving details) but it has auburn vibes imo. We don’t need that in Gainesville. But alas just an article I read.

the coach is non of my business, let me be clear on that. I have no sa so and I give no opinion on that part. I am just glad the other one is gone.

 

I’ll second the changing of the guard at Pitching Coach, but I do hope to see a profound change in the hiring of the new coach and assistant. The VA Coach would not meet that standard in my book.

Formatting is impossible. Full-time starter. Louisville's leading hitter with a .414 average, 10 home runs, 41 rbis, 30 walks and only 10 strikeouts, 23 of 24 stolen bases. She will be a junior. Props to Walton on this one.
