This is what the hearings demonstrated. His baseline knowledge was right wing propaganda. No facts from outside that world ever reached his brain.

Truly the best part was by the end Gaetz et al turned on him and were treating him like a Dem plant there to blow up their alternative facts. Fox News cut away from the hearing it was so devastating to their fake news universe.

It is kind of wild that Durham could claim not to know basic facts about the things he was investigating.

Old men change over time, especially if they listened to the AM. All these young cult members, I got nothing.

Posters criticizing Dems for staying in their echo chambers while hailing Durham a patriot for never leaving his. Only in America.

Ok genious... here are the convictions which were definitely "NOT" associated with the Trump Campaign. It's a dated graphic but makes it clear. Idiots are destroying this country with their fantasy land world they have concocted. They are nuts.

I don't think you do city justice. He is not a mere partisan hack. He's at least a hyperpartisen hack.

“Not knowing anything” I guess is how you pull an O’fer as a prosecutor. Now he just went and made a complete fool of himself.

This guy came off way worse than I expected, admittedly so did Mueller back during his testimony from the Mueller investigation. Mueller also seemed sort of “detached” and not knowing as much off hand detail about the facts of the report as I expected. I chalked it up to him being well past his prime, and constantly wanting to be sure he was testifying to facts straight from the report (thus, so much of his testimony was actually him fumbling around the pages looking to cite things directly out of his own report).

Although at least Mueller’s team had some good work product. This guy produced litterally nothing, and his testimony revealed him as a partisan stooge.

Now let’s cut republicans a break. They have their house so full of hate, fear, racism, misogyny, and homophobia that there’s just no more room for honor, dignity, honesty, competence, and intelligence. It’s just the Republican way.

Oh, that’s right—that was just a hoax to make the charade appear to have integrity and purpose. Good catch.

Do you realize how your baseless attack on fellow Americans is what is leading to our Nations decline? If your position is so moral, so right..then why not change the mind of the “misguided” rather than call then racist, etc. Here is an idea for all the keyboard “political experts”: instead of being a douche, ask yourself “What would John Adams do” and act accordingly. I struggle everyday with the same issue, but I’m trying.

While Durham was hiding this report for years, and now we see why, he was right up there with like Paul Revere for how much of a patriot he was, and the report itself was the most important work since the PR warning.

And when the report was released, it was DAMNING!!

But then they overplayed the whole thing and Durham put on this jaw-dropping performance that was so bad that Gaetz is now trying to unhitch his wagon. Check the playbook for this situation…oh yeah, here it is: now say it is “destroying the country” to even discuss it.

May Gaetz: “absolutely DAMNING treatise on the weaponization of the FBI against President Trump.”

June Gaetz: “It’s not just that you didn’t charge — it’s that you didn’t investigate. You didn’t investigate the Mueller team wiping their phones and you won’t tell us who gave the orders because you’re protecting those people!”

Because the misguided are in a cult that has cut off all countervailing facts with their psy ops brainwashing techniques.

The Nations decline is an example of a talking point drilled into heads over the decades.

Our country is strong and well-respected in the world despite republican efforts to make it a disaster. Trump came the closest to doing it but failed. Americans can see through the lie though and republicans may as well be ranting that the sun is rising in the West making time go backward. Everyone knows it’s a lie but they just keep repeating the talking point hoping it sticks.

Nobody is “changing the world” on an internet message board. If we view the MAGA movement a cult, it isn’t changing the national trajectory to call a spade a spade. Even on a broader scale, the concept that the cult goes away if people would just be nice to them doesn’t hold water, nor does it account for the motivations typically behind historical ethno-centrist populist movements. It’s not set out merely to “be understood”, it’s to impose their vision of society upon others. In worst cases, to ethnically cleanse.

It’s also mostly futile to change the minds of people who have gone deep down internet rabbit holes. In extreme cases, I’ve read accounts of family members who became estranged or become destitute over this stuff (we are taking deep QANON level psychosis there, where they leave their jobs or start sending money they don’t have to support “the cause”).

Obviously the majority of the issues are beneath the extremes, the more typical “look @ what grandpa read about 2000 mules on his Facebook feed” type nonsense. But even there, using reason is mostly a futile endeavor, we see that constantly on here. The only hope is that future generations are better equipped. I tend to think on average, they will be. Yet the stupidity of viral TikTok trends also shows the problem isn’t ever going away completely. Of course misinformation predates the internet. Before television. Before radio. Yellow journalism has existed for as long as there has been print media. The danger with internet “fake newz” vs. the others is primarily in its efficiency and reach.

I thought John Adams was known as pompous and caustic and for holding grudges. I think some of our Founding Fathers would have been pretty entertaining in the digital age.

How pathetic. When confronted with difficulties in life, I wonder if you roll on your back and act like a dying cockroach. If you want change, make it… don’t make excuses.
