I'm not factoring Vawter at all. I just don't believe that's a possibility. If she came to UF I'd fall over dead. Happy. But dead. Lynch fits the bill and it should be a good match on each side. One thing that scares me about Lynch is UGA. She is from Georgia. She apparently had little or no interest in them coming out of high school but things have changed at UGA since then. Baldwin is now the coach, has really improved them, is active in the portal, and Lynch knows him (as she does Walton) from her time on USA National.
It has been over a year and that's the first time I have heard anyone, anywhere, mention that Storako made a visit to UF. Do you know that is a fact and how do you know that?
I think as a transfer or even an incoming freshman, I would be interested to know why so many decided not to take a 5th year or entered the portal.
TW has a shot at getting a decent one and done type pitcher and that is about it in the pitching department. With the two superstars coming in this fall followed by the girl from Bartow the following year this staff is set for years.
Nothing that I have seen or heard other than someone speculating on another board that Delbrey may end up at Auburn.
Thanks. That clears up my confusion regarding never before having heard about a Storako visit in Gainesville.
No offense to Goddard, but how can you pencil her in as a lock when she has missed much of the last 2 years with season-ending injuries?
Hasn't everytime we had transfers they've been announced later in the summer? Aside from Pal I think was during the wcws last year.
Former Maryland C Amelia Lech is transferring to Auburn. Lech had a career year in 2023, batting .285 with 11 doubles, 16 home runs, 47 RBIs, 28 runs scored, and 32 walks. She also posted a .989 fielding percentage.
She entered the portal on May 23rd. Where are you getting your portal info? It seems you have posted things I have not seen. I'm getting mine from EIS.

I still haven't seen Otis' name on any portal list, nor have I see her tweet or Instagram anything about entering the portal. I'm sure you right, as you have more insight than me. I've just missed it. Would be nice to get her on the team.
I am not convinced in what Tim is doing anymore. I believe we are falling behind the times on how the game is played and how building a team goes. I know we have a great freshman class coming in but getting 1 transfer a year isnt cutting it. Last year we got the mid to lower tiered transfers. Skylar, Charla and Kendyl before that were considered big gets. But usually I hear at least murmurs that we are doing something to try and get some girls in. This year I am hearing very little. All this while Sully and his group are rounding up top notch kids all while we are making a great run in the CWS.
You pretty much said what I've been thinking lately. Softball has exploded in every direction in the 8-9 years since Walton won his last championship. It simply isn't the same game and the competition isn't playing it the same way as then. Charla and Kendyl really predated the fully changed attitudes. That's how quickly the game is assuming a new method of competing. Skylar is a different beast and doesn't really fit the norm of what has become a typical portal transfer. For whatever reason, she desperately wanted out of Bama and she equally wanted to be at UF so she was willing to sit out a year which none of the recent or current transfers contemplate. Every major program, all of our rivals and competitors, pound the portal. All of them every year from Washington to UCLA to Oklahoma to every SEC program but us. In the last three years Pal is it and Pal would have paid her way to UF to fulfil a lifelong dream. The two pitchers don't even count. They were not typical transfers either as they were on campus already for academic reasons as grads and there was nothing to lose giving them a uniform. There was no expectation they would provide value and they provided nothing. Walton appears to be set on the old style roster management based solely on high school recruiting and, admittedly, he's doing a good job of that. But, in the meantime, our chief instate rival has beat us, what, 5 or six times in a row, and is a legitimate national championship contender while we have fallen out of the top 25 in the polls (correctly) and can't even win 40 games. While ignoring the portal may be what he thinks is best, despite all evidence to the contrary, there is simply no plausible reason for going this long without a new pitching coach. Every coach, every AD, constantly keeps (or should) an updated list of coaching prospects across the country as you never know what might happen and when you will need it. I highly doubt Walton woke up one morning two weeks after the season and had an epiphany that he had to fire Bosch. He should have been ready to move instantly after that. If he wasn't, he didn't do his homework. If he was, and nobody wants the job with three studs coming in, then that's even a greater concern. Something isn't right. Too many things that make no sense. Some folks here keep sunshine pumping or search for any far out reason why things are not the way they seem. Some constantly claim UF has totally different factors at play (such as academics) that nobody else faces. Pure B.S. Grad transfers can't get in????? The vast majority of softball players with sterling academic credentials of 3.5 to 4.0???? These aren't football or basketball players forced to go to class when all they really want to do is jump to the pros and make millions. Now....if Walton is really holding back the magic rabbit he will spring on us in days or weeks....nobody will be happier than me. But, as things stand now, and as the way things have been in the recent past several years, there's no reason to be confident of that.
We are one year removed from being in the WCWS and we have a two time NC coach with an unbelievable class coming in for next year. Y’all need to chill….
