Still amazed at our win. Glad I am the first and only one that realized Neely threw a down the middle meat ball on a 0-2 count in a 1 run game.
Was thinking the same. Great catch by Robertson but if he was in the game in the 8th Shelnut doesn't hit. Coaching decisions not always as easy as fans think. Happy it all worked out tho.
Looks like most projections have him in the 100 range. Signability as a 22 year old senior could help him, but probably not all the way to the first.
Has anyone analyzed LSU’s bullpen situation? If they can’t get 7 out of Skenes, how do things look for them?
Both LSU & Wake go with their aces Thursday night, which pretty much eliminates them from starting against Florida. Good break for the good guys. Both teams have very good pitching staffs. Wake lead the nation in ERA. LSU had problems most of the year in the bullpen, but have been great in the post season. Whoever we face, it'll be tough, but not having to face their #1, except maybe in a relief appearance Sunday or Monday, is a definite advantage.
Pardon me for sounding immature, but does anyone have a shot of the walls in Omaha with our logo next to LSU? I want to save that F LSU pic for future use. lol
The final tidbit from our game against TCU... You can place this in the "karma" file. That TCU player that hit the ball into left-center field that got by Langford for a double, and scored the tying game at 2 was also the same player (the shortstop) that slipped and miss-played the Kurland single that scored Robertson for the 3rd run for the Gators! I just saw the replay and laughed out loud when I noticed it.
Lol, why is that karma? He didn’t do anything bad, just made a play to help his team. I don’t recall any over the top unsportsmanlike displays from TCU the whole tournament. Seemed like a classy bunch.
