Kern followed a lot of Washington players and has posted pictures of herself in a Washington Uniform. not officially official.. but kern to Washington.

 

I wonder how much not having a pitching coach is affecting the portal. I mean it just doesn't affect pitchers. It affects the entire team. Also, hindsight is 20/20 but did Tim make a mistake by keeping bosch for another year? 2023 was a disaster of a season and I wonder if it would've been different with another pitching coach. like would Olivia have contributed more? would another pitcher ( not bender) have transferred here? what would the record be if bosch had been let go after 2022.

Former Auburn UT Lindsey Garcia is transferring to Clemson. Garcia, a career .266 hitter with 21 home runs and 91 RBIs, is a 5th-year senior. Her career numbers also include 21 home runs, 23 doubles, 94 RBIs, and 23 stolen bases.

Former DePaul C Anna Wohlers is transferring to Auburn. A two-time All-Big East selection in her two years in Chicago, Wohlers' career numbers include a .341 batting average, 20 home runs, 27 doubles, 75 RBIs, and 64 runs scored.

Former Longwood IF Jaden Pone is transferring to Ole Miss. The 2022 Big South Freshman of the Year, Pone owns a .412 career batting average, 153 hits, 82 runs scored, and 62 stolen bases.

Former Duke OF Kamryn Jackson is transferring to Florida Atlantic. An All-ACC 3rd Teamer in 2022, Jackson owns a career .261 batting average, 15 home runs, 72 RBIs, and 73 runs scored.

 

When will the bleeding stop?

 

The only thing positive I can say, and it is weak at best with little reason to be optimistic, is Kelly Lynch is still on the board.

I haven't seen Korbe Otis' name on the Transfer Portal list, but she's not listed on the 2024 roster for Louisville. She's a big time OF and 2nd team AA who, supposedly, visited Gainesville last weekend. A glimmer of hope? But we really need pitchers!!!

I believe everything will work out for the best. We have the number 1 recruiting class, 2 multi winning gatorade player of the years, the sec player of the year, and will welcome a new pitching coach. We wouldn't have the likes of Charla, Stephanie ( 2014). or Skylar if Tim couldn't get top recruits from the portal... I know we didn't land Alex or royalty but the fact florida was a school of choice ( both had campus visits) speaks volumes.. especially knowing the type of coach bosch was. I have a feeling we are about to see transfers rolling in the next few weeks. I mean as long as everything is signed and ready to go, Tim does not have to be in the same country for players to announce florida is their new home. I'm also leaning towards the new pitching coach being announced first.

 

If I was in the portal I'm not sure I would consider Florida. It is going to be a tough lineup to break into. Reagon, Skylar, Kaila, Kendra, and Baylee are locks as starters. That leaves Sarah, Avery, Emily, Katie and four highly rated freshman fighting for three spots. Also any pitcher that comes in knows she is going to be #3 at best. Just some food for thought.

Allison Royalty went to FSU and she was the 3rd pitcher behind Sandercock and Reid. so I don't believe being a number 3 is that bad.. unless you want to be the number 1 pitcher. Both Baylee and Kaila injuries prove you just never know when your number will be called.
