As was pointed out in post 99, Roger Stone did the same (or worse) and wasn't charged criminally at all - was allowed to resolve civilly. On the flip side, it seems the gun charge is rarely charged:
Keep in mind, that guy also claims 'the entire Biden crime family belongs in prison for life' and that the DOJ is trying to put Trump in jail for '100+ years' so he just may not be an entirely impartial voice on this subject.
People don’t get charged with crimes based on the underlying facts of the information. The larger question is what could have been charged. Doesn’t matter to me. This was a Trump appointed prosecutor who was allowed to stay in and investigated the case for 5 years and it has nothing to do with Joe Biden. Nor is there any evidence linking Joe Biden to any of the deals that his kids were supposedly involved in or to any official government action. You can trigger the “right” just by saying the word “Burisma,” with no discussion of what actually took place with the firing of a pro-Russia corrupt prosecutor that was sought by our European allies. Meanwhile, they steadfastly objected to any investigation into Trump or his family, when they were involved in the executive branch and made deals involving business in countries with which we have significant involvement. And not blind trusts. None of which was linked to direct action. And when illicit dealings were uncovered involving official action) the Ukraine arms impeachment issue), they defended that too. They are just political sycophants without any understanding of that they are talking about. It bores me to engage.
What I want to know about Hunter Biden is what did Jared Kushner do to “earn” 2 billion dollars from the Saudis.
You just won't give up. For the umpteenth time, Hunter was investigated by a Trump-appointed US Attorney. If there were any other criminal acts beyond the the crimes with which Hunter was ultimately charged David Weiss certainly would have discovered them. In fact, it's been suggested that the reason that Weiss's investigation took five years was because he was investigating Hunter for other crimes considering that the evidence of both of the crimes with which Hunter was charged, the false statement on the gun application and his failure to timely file the tax return and pay taxes was apparent years ago.
Jared Kushner has been a successful, legitimate businessman for 20+ years. He took over his father's real estate investment company in New York and made a killing. This was all long before Trump became POTUS. The Saudis invested $2 billion into Kushner's new private equity firm. This wasn't a check funneled through various shell corporations to reach Kushner's personal bank account. Also, the Saudis don't invest $2 billion to bribe someone. Especially when said someone is no longer pulling the levers in the U.S. government. It's an investment the Saudis fully expect to see an ROI on. There is nothing illegal about Kushner starting a private business after Trump's exit from the White House and there's nothing being hidden about the fact the Saudi's invested this money. Contrast that with the complete lack of transparency from the Bidens about the money that flowed to them from Ukraine and China. What legitimate business did the Bidens have in Ukraine and China? Foreign governments invest money in private equity firms in the U.S. all the time for the purpose of getting an ROI from their money. Kushner disclosed the investment. The Bidens have not. Huge difference; silly comparison. Jared Kushner = real estate investor, highly successful businessman since he left college Hunter Biden = no business background that I'm aware of, drug addict, criminal, had an affair with his late brother's wife, typical spoiled rich kid who contributed nothing to society and mooched off of dad's connections.
Jared Kushner - Real estate investor who inherited a company from his father and made a very poor decision that could have driven his company into bankruptcy were it not for a bailout from Qatar. Timeline on Jared Kushner, Qatar, 666 Fifth Avenue, and White House Policy When the Kushner Companies purchased 666 Fifth Avenue in midtown Manhattan in early 2007 for a record-breaking price of $1.8 billion, it was supposed to be a center of their real estate portfolio. Instead, the Kushners have struggled to cover their debt on the troubled building since shortly after its purchase on the eve of the financial crisis. As Jared Kushner’s father-in-law, Donald J. Trump, was running for President, the Kushners were pitching Qatari investors to help bail out the building. And just weeks after his father Charles reportedly failed to reach a deal with Qatar’s minister of finance, Jared Kushner, in his capacity as a senior adviser to President Trump, reportedly played a central role in supporting a blockade of Qatar by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Kushner never disclosed his meeting with Saudi Arabia and the UAE on the blockade to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson at the time. Later, a financial company tied to Qatar brokered an especially valuable deal to rescue the Kushner Companies’ property at 666 Fifth Avenue.
Kushner ran middle east policy while in government and then got a big check from the Saudis when he left. I don't know who you'd have to be to not connect those two things.
Yes, he is a real estate guy. Landlord. Has never managed a hedge fund. The Saudi Investment board recommended against investing with this newby "fund manager" but the prince invested anyway. Who gives $2b to someone to "invest" without that person having a proven track record and why would they do that?
"Especially when said someone is no longer pulling the levers in the U.S. government" LOL yet you're extremely concerned that Hunter Biden was peddling influence in 2017 and 2018 when his dad had ZERO power. YCMTSU
What is it that Jared can do for the Saudi prince now that he is out of government, other than get a nice ROI on that money? You can’t bribe someone who has no power or access. I can assure you the prince wasn’t giving that money away haphazardly. Hedge funds mirror real estate investment firms in a lot of ways. Kushner didn’t make hundreds of millions of dollars by being a landlord. He invested in commercial properties and sold most of them at enormous profits, long before his father-in-law became POTUS.
For services rendered. I deal in minuscule amounts comparatively and never have I invested in any fund without a track record/history/proven ROI.
What services did Kushner render that would be worth $2 billion? I really hope you're not going to say it was the WaPo reporter. I've read a lot of dumb things here, but that's up near the top. Kushner does have a proven track record. He has invested in businesses and real estate for years. His net worth was almost $1 billion before Trump won the presidency. To say he has no proven track record is like saying Amazon doesn't have a proven track record. It's stupid. All in an attempt to cover the fact Hunter Biden is a low-life scumbag who never did anything of value business wise and has no plausible explanation for being on the board of a very corrupt Ukrainian gas company.
Every other defendant not named Kodak Black apparently. Rapper Kodak Black’s lawyer decries ‘2 tiers of justice’ after Hunter Biden plea deal
