The only thing not counted is baseball (we are guaranteed 73 points there). Funny thing is it’s so close that we will finish fifth unless UT goes further in Omaha than us, but our top 10 streak would have died had baseball and golf not rallied in their regionals. We should pass UGA by 1 point. Also USC barely, Michigan and North Carolina.

Tough competing against Stanford & OSU. They participate in 36 & 37 programs compared to our 21.

Only 19 sports count, but programs like those can pick and choose their best finishes so long as football, men's and women's basketball, baseball, and volleyball are included.

Virginia will finish ahead of UF regardless of the CWS results.

North Carolina will get points so UF may not finish ahead of them. I'd say UF rising above UNC is 50:50 at best.

Tennessee will pass UF if they finish with higher points in the CWS.

USC, Georgia, and Michigan didn't make the NCAA field. UF will pass Georgia and Michigan. USC had a decent year in the PAC 12 so can they get points even if not in the NCAA field?

UF's long standing top 10 streak, by far the longest in the nation, is alive and well. I wish I could feel as assured as you that UF will finish ahead of North Carolina and USC. I'd also dislike finishing behind Tennessee as UF has the premiere sports program in the SEC. Looks to me like UF needs to win the CWS to guarantee the fifth slot in the standings.

You only get points for making the tournament so we should pass USC, and UNC should earn 37.5 for their finish. So we will pass them too.
    Baseball goes:
    4th in regional - 25 points
    3rd - 37.5
    2nd - 50
    1 -64
    Win super - 73
Win one in Omaha - 78
    Make semis - 83
    Runner up - 90
    NC - 100

    Thanks

    1. Stanford
    2. Texas
    3. Ohio State
    4. Virginia
    5. *Florida
    6. *Tennessee

*Presumes UF finishes with the same or more points from the CWS.

UF could finish 5th or 6th. Considering how bad UF's fall sports were, this result is astonishing.

Somewhat related to this topic. Funny, I don't see Miami in the top 35;)

Yes, UF is already the winner of the Men's Capital One Cup. Current Standings as of June 14, 2023:

Current Copy of COC Database (capitalone.com)

    COC Scoring Structure (capitalone.com)

UF will pick up 60 points for winning the CWS or 36 points for a 2nd Place finish. Either result leaves UF at #1 in the standings after the CWS is over. It isn't official yet, but unofficially no other men's program can beat out UF.

The Capital One Cup originated in 2010/11. UF #1 finishes:

    Men: 2010/11, 2011/12, and 2022/23
    Women: 2013/14

4 SEC programs in the top 10
    4 SEC programs between 11-25

Texas and Oklahoma will add to the total in 2024/25.

I am not sure what Capital One is waiting on but the final USA Today Top 25 College Baseball Coaches Poll which Cap 1 uses to assign points has been released. Using the poll results and Capital Ones methodology your final men's Top 10 are as follows:
    1. UF - 91
    2. Stanford - 83
    3. UGA - 80
    4. PSU - 75.5
    5. UVA - 71
    6. Mich - 70
    6. ND - 70
    8. LSU - 68
    9. Duke - 67
    10. TCU - 66

Incredible last month as UF sat 33rd back on 14 May.

Got it correct for all but 10th place. I gave 10 bonus points to TCU they didn't earn. Still working on that addition thing. What I find interesting on the men's side is FSU finished in 45th place and Miami tied Incarnate Word for 25th. Ouch.
