I would like to see ORU win this one as my wife went to school there. Also, a neat story. Regardless of who wins, I want them to use 9 pitchers in a 17 inning classic.
60-59, 74 inning showdown, both teams out of pitchers and throwing position players at the end of it.
TCU was on such an unbelievable tear coming into the supers (they were 15-1, beating the heck out of their opponents, including thrashing Arky 32-9 over two games) that I thought they should be considered among the favorites to take it all. Their margins of victory have predictably slimed during the late playoffs, but I still think they are very dangerous. Clearly so is ORU though. I guess I’d rather face ORU, but either way, it’s going to be a battle. A winnable battle, but still a battle.
I would rather face Oral Roberts again. I think TCU is more dangerous with slightly deeper pitching. Hopefully, Cags will be on and whichever team we face will be down to their #4 or 5 pitcher.
I want Oral Roberts again. I thought those guys were a bit sketchy with their attitudes and the pickoff where 1b layed on top of our guy was blatent. We should have been awarded 3rd base.
On a side note - my wife asked if I was going to work this week. I politely said 'NO' -- Are you? She teaches school so she gave me that look (the one all married people know). I'm working from my laptop when I'm not posting or reading GC
And TCU is mowing them down so far. Then again, the Vols looked that way yesterday...until they didn't.
yeah not thinking about the final outcome, only thinking that whomever burns through more pitching today is who I want to face tomorrow.
These announcers annoy me. I switched to the Spanish broadcast. Much more entertaining. I am in no way fluent but can understand most.
I know. It is just that the Northwestern students voted to change the sports team nickname to Purple Haze a long time ago.
