Rather than President Biden who would be the best option for Democrats?

for number 3 it didn't help in the 2020 democratic primary. she quickly fell to single digits with feedback of a bad campaign. She wasn't a good 'politician'. And imo, to what extent the VP can display effectiveness, KH has been disappointing.

You need to just watch the news. Even the dems here understand he has been a disaster in his roll as transportation secretary. He is just a face with no skills for the position.

In 2020, she wasn't the first Black woman VP. She was competing against Barack Obama's VP instead.

I’m going with Mitt Romney with Liz Cheney as his VP.

Best candidates wrong party. Perfect answer if the question was "rather than Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis who would be the best options for the Republicans?"

I think Klobuchar would be a great healing technocrat.

I am all for Newsome. Plus, I think the GOP would line up behind him if he ran on ending subsidies to states and just having state taxpayers keep their own money. Of course Red States would file for bankruptcy but they would go broke not being woke.

I assume you mean to run against, because otherwise I would have to administer a breathalyzer on both you and your cat.

Thinking slightly outside the box here, I'd say Hakeem Jeffries, but as another poster mentioned, generally speaking, you are pretty much locked in once you are the House/Senate leader.

I also like Cory Booker but for whatever reason, never stuck a cord with the electorate in the primaries.

Really, it just comes down to a candidate getting hot at the right time and having name recognition. That's why I think Newsome has the best chance...not because he's the best candidate from the democratic side, but because most know who he is and he has the charisma to match.
