You can’t compare removing a small amount of foreskin to cutting off a teens breasts or their penis, oh wait you did.

Sorry you are incapable of seeing the similarity issues. Some of these right wing nutjobs are referring to these surgeries as mutilations. Either is or it isn't. If I cut your ear off I mutilated you, but if I cut just a chunk of your ear off I have not?

You're correct. It's a bad comparison because the baby has literally no say in the matter. At least a teen can weigh in.

Are you comparing life changing surgery to cosmetic surgeries? Yeah, not the same thing.

    Swing and a miss.

Stop trying to equate looping off the entire genitalia of a teenager with removing 1/2 a cm of loose skin that serves zero purpose.
And yes if someone is missing a piece of an ear they are hardly mutilated whereas if their entire ear is gone that’s a huge difference.

Furthermore the removal of foreskin does not cause any loss of function of the penis. If ya chop it off well it’s done and no amount of surgery can replace if.

I think it’s more about trying to win an argument for him. I have a a hard time believing he thinks removing the penis of a minor is ok. I suppose he could be a nut job. Who knows?

Yeah you are totally right as a father of a teenager I definitely want her making major life decisions like this because of all her years of experience and wisdom.... I seriously don't think it's a bridge too far to tell you wackos to leave children alone. If adult wants to wack something off so be it as long as I'm not involved in paying for it (taxes).

Oh, he can he's just trying for that "Gotcha" moment. Unfortunately he picked a dumb analogy that anyone with a brain would realize is stupid.

She should absolutely win her case. Irreversible surgery for a person who believes that they have gender dysphoria even if diagnosed by a medical professional should NEVER be performed on a 13-year old. That being said, undoubtedly her example although an extreme outlier will be cited as a pretext by theocratic righties to ban all gender affirming care for minors and in some cases even adults over the age of 18. Restated the example of a person who suffered based on the decision of incompetent medical professionals who obviously failed to follow the normal standards of care will be used as a pretext to enact legislation that would medical care to tens of thousands of persons who would otherwise benefit from age appropriate medical treatment.
