Wingtee, I'm up in Knoxville. My wife is at our place at Crescent with her mom and sis for their annual Girlz Trip. I won't be there until August.

 

TV guy just commented on Waldrep’s split finger pitch and called him “Hershel Walthrop”……..

He didn’t. And really USM hit him pretty hard and scored 5 runs on him. He just seems to get hit and hit well.

 

He has good stuff but might be a little flat on the FB

 

I agree with Wing - Volz have the roster, but not sure if Omaha-caliber this year.

I usually enter our ballpark via the ADA/press and scouts entrance with my 91 year old MIL. When Waldrep was pitching in the Supers we got on the elevator with Cubs scout. I asked if he was here specifically to scout Waldrep and he said "Yeah. We hope that we can get him."

Splitters work well at Wrigley historically. Bruce S did very well with that pitch there.
