I agree. I put that out as a suggestion for discussion as we need some production from lead off spot, ORU is throwing a LHP and Halter did look a bit nervy on two grounders on Friday. But agree Colby needs to be in there.
Agree with most but not your take on Halter. The plays you mentioned were both tough plays and he got critical outs on both. The 2nd one was a potential double play ball I will grant you that. Halter is hitting the ball well again and the team responds well to him. Thomas has played well, in the field, in his limited chances.
Seems likely Evans gets a start tonight. Wonder if we'll just bump Shelnut to left or give Robertson another crack in this giant center field.
My guess is Shelnut. I think if Sully was going to give Robertson a shot, he would have done it in Game 1 with Shiekofer on the bench and Langford back in left.
UVA CF just misplayed a ball over his head and gave TCU a run to go up 4-2. Outfielders really seem to be having trouble at times picking the ball up off the bat. I would probably feel more comfortable with Robertson out there but we shall see.
Now that one really is out of left field, I mean third base. Sure I could see a different hitter leading off, although I highly doubt Sully will make that change, but Thomas??? No can do, no soup for you. As far as outfield it should be Shelnut, Langford, and Evans.
Game time says 7pm, but it really starts at midnight. That's because it's time for the Cinderella ORU to go back to where they came from.
I'm sure somebody from ORU preached a sermon to their boys this morning on "David verses Goliath". Instead of a rally cup hanging from the fence, maybe the Gators should hang a sling.
After having my internet and cable TV down all day I finally have internet again so I can stream the game via ESPN+. TV is still down. Listened to the VA/TCU game on ESPN radio (AM 850 in Gainesville) on my very old Sansui TU 717 tuner. Great tuner!

OF is Shelnut, Langford, Evans. Halter at third and glad to see he is batting 9th. I thought if Evans gets the start then Halter could benefit the top of the order by batting 9th. Good on the bases as well. Let's hope he hits the lefty.
I just wanted everyone to know that my day has been so dramatically and unusually good so far that I see no possibility that the Gators lose tonight. In fact, I feel like they are going to win in an unusually pleasant fashion for us. I'm not sure what that will look like exactly, but I am looking forward to finding out.
