Every big time sports fan base has idiots (referring to the negative creeps - not you antny1). So it doesn’t make it harder for us over anyone else. Some of the stuff on UT’s, LSU, Texas, FSU and Tex A&M boards could be worse. To think something like this is worse at Florida without any fact based evidence isn’t fair to the university.

 

Oh I agree but when times are tough the social media that is so central to everything today becomes magnified. Georgia and Bama have their moments but they have enjoyed relatively smooth sailing during the social media explosion. Florida has struggled and media laps up the negativity so basement keyboard losers now have a voice. It's just incessant with us for now. We have really declined at the most inopportune time between Saban bringing in the facility war, staffing bloat, pay for play etc and the advent of social media. Hopefully we can keep this recruiting positivity going forward and use it to our benefit for a change.

Oh, and I'm definitely an idiot at times....

My coworkers that are Bama and LSU fans are out of control with the littlest hiccup - and they have had so much more recent success.

 

My Bama helper loves cheating and his sister.

 

How do you know there are not opposing fans or competing college programs that use social media as a weapon in the process? Can you be certain these are Gator fans? What is they are fans of an opponent or an opposing program pretending to be Gator fans in a negative light to change a recruits perception of a program? What is a college hired these type social media people to infiltrate other Boards? Is it crazy with all the catfishing going on on the internet. People don’t even know who they are speaking with due to all the fake profiles. You don’t even know if it is a man or a women. Look at all the international crime rings preying on lonely singles pretending to have on line relationships.

what if 10 UF fans enrolled on a site as FSU fans and then started reaching out on Twitter posting negative info about the player or program? How could a HS recruit know the difference?

Easy..If a UF fan were to enroll on a FSU message board they would instantly recognize the correct spellings of words like Cat and Dog…also FSU fans have a way of smelling like bad breath and egg farts even through a keyboard.

Gut check. Money is not the only motivation. Winning, competitiveness, coaching, media perception, are also factors in getting top tier players. Long way to go in these areas. Right now the check book is the only way to go

 

Notice those who are flipping all seem to be defensive players. Looks like giving up 700 yards has consequences beyond the game itself.
