Bateman was on the chopping block for many posters because of the perceived notion he lacked recruiting chops for the SEC. He has been killing it this year. 3 LBs(Graham, Chiles and Hayes) and 2 DL(Williams and Johnson). He has been their primary recruiter. All 4 stars.
I love the size of 2 of our LBs. 6'3+. A yr in the SC program and we will have some thumpers. It's been awhile since we had good HT and WT in the middle. Ala Spikes!
I agree! Ironically, of the two LB coaches, Peterson might be the weak link from a recruiting standpoint.
Maybe, but his part could be teaching and molding these LBs...teaching them the Gator way..like he was taught and how he played..maybe that is his contribution
We also need to remember he took our sole LB recruit last year from South Carolina, and that LB had the best senior year a LB has had in a long time.
Not sure about that. All i hear from recruits is how they really connect with Peterson and love his Long NFL background. He is a players coach and really relates to these kids.
I think this weekend really shows us the process of what "building relationships" vs selling a product is all about. Some were having heartattacks after the 1st 2 weekends of June not producing a HS commit, amd questioning the schedulimg of OV's in this month but now the flood gates have opened.and it doesn't look to be slowing down yet
Some folks just aren’t built for anything other than right now. That’s why it always looks like a car wreck to them.
No, Peterson was the Primary Recruiter for Waller. https://247sports.com/player/jamonta-waller-46137106/
