I don't see how they retain him.

Yeah even many if the WVU fans who mildly defended him a few months ago are resigned to his fate. He won’t survive this.

When your BAC is .21, does it really even qualify as blood any more?

Seems to me he will be submitting his letter of resignation very soon.

Crappy way to end a great career.

I hope he gets the help he needs.....

This. Thank Heaven he didn't seriously injure or kill himself or anyone else.

Geez man . . . even a $100 Uber ride would have been WAY worth it. Heck, he could have gotten a limo for the night. Like others said, glad he didn't hurt anyone and hope he gets needed help.

Well somehow it was in Pittsburgh, so if he drove from Morgantown it’s even crazier.

Looks like a 1hr to 1.25hr drive so yeah, maybe a $300 Uber or spend a couple grand on a limo and do the night right. Or Uber + hotel. Anything but a DUI which may end your lucrative career.

    0.21 drinking beer is impressive.

A couple decades ago, I was attending an NCAA regional in Orlando. The Gators were playing. IIRC Huggins was still at Cincinnati. They were also in Orlando. I was walking toward the arena and happened to notice Huggins also going the same direction. All by himself. Scowling at the ground the entire way, like Bob Knight. I thought right then that he's a deeply unhappy individual, and I've never seen anything on TV while watching his teams indicate otherwise. It's actually kind of sad to see someone with that curse in life. That said, I never wanted us to face his teams because they were a reflection of his personality.

It’s really a sad end to a remarkable career.

I can't imagine the embarrassment of having to tell your coaches and players that you must resign due to poor behavior. How many times must he have lectured his student athletes against similar behavior? He totally let them down.

Very. that's usually averaging about 4 beers an hour...and he's no small man. Might have been boilermakers

That's what I was thinking. People are always quick to bemoan how young athletes are reckless and careless with their behavior, well some of these old guys are too.
