According to, I believe, @rickjs1, she was considered when Bosch was hired. Maybe this time. This is her header on her Twitter account
I'm not sure if it would happen or not; but, I hope that the pitching coach that takes the job is a really good one AND in return to that, Lexie comes back and Rylee plays her 5th year. I know I know, Tim really messed up his relationship with Lexie (is what I've heard) and Rylee has moved back to Texas (or something). Crazier things have happened though. That would make the battery a little less thin. No matter what, Go Gators!!
Who is this....Laura Rothrock? If so, you've got me confused with someone else. I have no knowledge she was, or is, considered as our pitching coach. I have thought about it for the current situation and, while I can't give a specific reason, my gut tells me it would not be a good idea. I realize I'm comparing apples to oranges with no semblance of any relevant meaning, but Julia and her father as batting coach at Okie State was an absolute disaster.
Shouting matches. I think she has gotten herself straightened out. She was First Team SEC and looked very happy. I am glad for her. She has been Keagan's coach growing up. If we get a good pitching coach, it would be a good thing for her. Sorry for the mix-up.
I think those ships have sailed. At Tennessee, we sat behind Rylee's mother. She said Rylee was doing an internship and then coming home. She is mulling going to PA school.
Yep. Keegan has two pitching coaches. Her mother and somebody else who I can't pull out of my feeble brain at the moment. As for picking a pitching coach, I am the last person to ask. I simply don't know. I can say, in retrospect, Bosch wasn't the right choice.
Excited to My toxic trait I over react too much. I also overlooked we just found out Bosch isn't returning 8 days ago!! So I shouldn't press the panic button so soon. I just have to be patient and know in time we will know the pitching coach is, the 3rd assistant, and a transfer or two.

hmm... Do you have a reason to believe this? I mean other than not picking up transfers or announcing a pitching coach. BTW I'm not trying to sound mean. I am just curious.
I would love for Rylee to come back. so much positivity she would bring to the freshmen. leadership and experience to name a couple. Not just that but her career probably will end in a higher note. Lexi not so much. I'm not saying she's a bad teammate or a bad person off the field. I'm saying Florida just doesn't seem like the environment for her. Eventually it's going to show up in your attitude and your body language. Sometimes that can run off players or even discourage players looking transfer a second thought. More importantly in my eyes. she has 2 years of collegiate ball left and deserves to enjoy the ride.
Do I believe what? That it's quiet? Yeah, it is quiet.. Haven't heard a word since Bosch was fired. Was expecting at least something from the media. Plus it was meant for the forum too... Was just hoping for a rumor, a lie or fairytale.. something. lol
IDK I guess when I saw "before the storm" I was like uh oh.. I grew up believing it mean disaster was about to strike.. which I need to get out of that thinking habit. I agree 100% that it's very quiet on Florida's end. As far as the media goes I only saw the news on "extra inning softball" outside of the Florida gators writers.
yeah, I do kinda think once we get word on a pitching coach thing will really start happening. Well, I hope at least. Lol I guess the fact it's taking so long means Tim is really searching for the perfect fit. Once again, hopefully. Lol
I don't like the tea leaves. I think fall semester starts Aug 24. Most students, even athletes know where they are going this close to the beginning of school.
I just searched and Bosch was named pitching coach July 27th 2018. It'll probably be different this time around since prior commitments to the USA national team next month. I can't help feeling we aren't going to hear any news until the end of the month or very beginning of July.
Well, which is it? When I expressed concern right here a day or so ago I was strongly berated by several who left it clear everything is "sunshine and daisies".
