This is CRAZY for pops to say Meanwhile, the Simmons family was “in touch with attorneys,” playing the waiting game to evaluate the best option for the highly touted quarterback. “Florida was nice. Don’t get it twisted,” David Simmons said on Friday. "But the schedule is too tough and they want DJ Lagway.” Austin Simmons flips from Florida to Ole Miss, reclassifies to 2023
This doesn't bother me at all. I like Lagway better and don't think Simmons would have started while Lagway was still a Gator. I suspect the coaches were already looking at other '25 QBs.
Does not make sense deeper QB room at Ole Miss just as tough a schedule I call bullshit he got paid that is a real chickenshit response

How much film have you watched on both quarterbacks I’ve got concerns about DJ s delivery. I think DJ delivers the ball low . His elbow is in a low trajectory, and sometimes too hard. Simmons throws a great ball and very catchable . I hope Lagway turns out to be a great quarterback but there was a reason Napier recruited Simmons .
Spurrier trolled the chit out of a lot of teams lol. Come on Skink !! Lol However don’t recall recall recruits trolling .
The Ole Miss HC lacks character and is a slimeball. Al Davis of Raiders had is right when he mentioned Lane was dishonest and fired him. Lane also had an inappropriate affair that led to his divorce. Don’t know how any parent would want their child to spend 4 years under him. Lane has had highly rated QBs to work and does not have any starting QBs in the NFL. SyStem actually hurts QBs.
Simmons is gone. We have our man and the next time we see Simmons will be in an Ole Miss uniform.... Gator bait!
And now we know exactly what Kiffen was saying to them during the visits. Well... at least we found out what they are all about. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ He's reclassifying for 2023 just to sit on the bench... counting Benjamins.
Both Mertz and Driskel won the E11. It means absolutely nothing. DJ isn't a pocket-type QB anyways, so he was never going to show out in that environment. He's a playmaker, not a pinpoint passer.
Napier has a known thorough evaluation process, after the Perkins/Rashada/Simmons debacles, it might be time to extend that into evaluating a recruit's father. "The schedule is too tough", we dodged a RPG.
I GUESS this is for the best as I was leery that Simmons coming here early would cause a possible decommitment from Lagway.
