Sounds like the Republicans are willing to swallow.

Several Trump candies have been primaried.

It's your party that has defined 'bad' by pegging it to a human being--to wit: orange man bad.

The GOP is being defensive, bc the left has lost its bloody mind tripping over itself, trying to take meantweets out.

The pathetic part, is the why.

    Why?

    Because...China.

I’ve used this phrase in the past and some have found it offensive. Ironically (or not) it appears that in the MAGA right’s new LGBTQ war they are starting to reach out to Muslims and all of a sudden Sharia Law doesn’t look so bad.

Opinion | Creeping Shariah Has Nothing on the Woke Mob

Seven years later, as the battle against wokeness has supplanted the war on terror in the right-wing imagination, conservative sympathies are reversing. “Republicans are wooing Muslim voters by promising to protect them from L.G.B.T.Q. rights advocates whose demands conflict with their faith,” David Weigel reported in Semafor this week. The Fox News host Laura Ingraham, who once called for banning Muslim immigration from the Middle East, recently ran a sympathetic segment about Muslim parents in Maryland who want their kids to be exempt from reading books with L.G.B.T.Q. characters or themes. “Us Catholics and other Christians, other people of faith, have been waiting for the Muslims to step up on this issue,” Ingraham told her guest, a Muslim father and activist named Kareem Monib.

I have been referring to them as the Republi-ban party for a long time. No difference between Republicans and Taliban at this point.

Somewhat ironic that the party that was behind the banning of Sharia law is now supporting its own version of Sharia and even courting Muslim supporters of Sharia.
    Not that long ago.
    From the 2012 presidential campaign:
GOP Presidential Hopefuls Blast Sharia Law in Pre-Primary Rhetoric
Following the election of the now former president.
Anti-sharia laws proliferate as Trump strikes hostile tone toward Muslims
And today, the party that wanted to ban Sharia is now using its own version to recruit Muslims.
Michigan GOP denigrated Muslims before courting them over ban on books
Move Over, Ilhan Omar! Minnesota Republicans Pander to Somali Islamists - Focus on Western Islamism (FWI)
On the other hand, this guy is apparently unchanged. While Republican social conservatives have started to court religious Muslims, he's doing his best to ensure that they will continue to support Democrats.

Yup, they’re going to have to go after the ISIS vote. American Muslims will just be another epic fail for them.

At least Muslims are kicking LGBTQ butt in school districts all over the West.

They could be useful to the GOP because the left fears offending them, unlike Christians.

Yeah, I'd forgotten that before woke groomers, kindergarten teachers deciding students' genders and former males dominating every female sports competition ... the big conservative fear was sharia law taking over the United States, no-go zones and all that stuff.
Well, at least one of the fears. It's really hard to keep track.

Yeah, it'll be a cold day in hell before you see any tranny's touring around the country deriding Muslims.

Yeah, I don't know much is a genuine fear of transgenders converting their kids or sharia law taking over Main Street, or how much is a need to have an enemy. A really, really scary one.

I have to throw a flag on that one.
The appropriate response should have been:

When 9/11 hit we were told to remember that most Muslims were not radical. Most are simply law abiding citizens. One shouldn't assume that someone is a supporter of sharia just because they are Muslim.

Today we should assume, if they agree with Republicans on any issue, they are radical extremists?

Muslims opposed to LGBTQ curricula for their kids aren’t bigots

It is understandable for parents to be concerned. In Maryland, for example, a school district has approved books that discuss homosexuality and transgenderism as normal realities for children as young as three years old. This is state-sponsored ideological indoctrination of toddlers who can barely form complete sentences, much less think critically.
Parents have a God-given duty and legal right to provide moral instruction and guidance to their children. This includes the right of parents and their children to reject ideologies that contravene their beliefs.

Yet, supposedly secular institutions like public schools are now dictating that students must accept and affirm LGBTQ ideology ..

As Muslims, we refuse to be coerced into believing something our faith categorically condemns. This is not a political stance. It is a moral principle.
