You are 100% correct—winning game 1 definitely puts you in the driver’s seat…. And I don’t really understand that the outfield plays as big as it does and we are lined up like we are.

 

Usually the highest ranked team starts as the home team in the first game.

I just put on the Official CWS Zhats ball cap I picked up before Game 4 in June of 2017. I wear it all the time, and still get asked about it.
The final was 3-0, UF v. TCU. Hope this first game goes as good for the Gators.

I've searched the web but can't find what Earl stands for. I know it's for the opposition pitcher, but what do the letters stand for? Earl Campbell?
Earl of Briton? Enemy At Right Left? I have no clue.

Oh I know. But game 1 is not necessary more important than game 2. Going 1-1 in the first two lands you in the same place. Winning the first 2 is critical, but yes 1 at a time.
