You could've just pelted the "agree" button. Would've saved you a lot of time.

AP Psychology – AP Students | College Board

There is a small section in the developmental psychology unit on gender and sexual orientation. Which makes sense. The only other section I could see making conservatives nervous is parts of social psychology. Very small part of the overall course

    Right.
Just go to google and type in anything related to LGBTQIA’s…every article is pro-gay/transgender.
Google is like one huge gay parade on the internet highway.
Point is, libbies own the sources and the curriculum and the instruction.
That you are surprised at the pushback is very surprising.

Then it shouldn't be an issue.

I doubt every AP Psych course in the country covers all of the issues.

The way I remember AP in high school, you cover what you can, you study on your own, you take the exam.

I missed where you made that claim. In fact, you seemed to be making the opposite claim, if anything, that the article was correct and the liberal bastion The College Board was lying about the curriculum to sneak weeks of gender dysphoria normalizing into this course curriculum.

If my assumption on your position was wrong, I apologize, but it truly reads with that slant.

What are you even talking about? The internet is too gay now? What?

    I said "someone was lying."

I think it's fair to rely on the Orlando Sentinel article in the OP as the framework for the discussion, then the college board website gives very different information so we're supposed to do a complete 180.

I pointed out someone was lying and you pretty much agreed with me.

there is a ton of anti gay content. You just need to learn how to the search works. It’s clear you just don’t get it. The top google searches are listed based on demand and interest. I’ve told you this before. You’re in a minority so hating gay shit won’t be at the top of a broad search on gay. But if you search for gay is wrong or something like that you’ll get a lot of hits im sure you’ll like.

And as an AP course, you have to go out of your way to sign up for it.

I.e. all the students signing up are probably already intending to go to college and have some degree of critical thinking skills already.

I guess for all the “parental rights” activists who think teachers need permissions to wipe their own ass, this “dilemna” could easily be solved via some sort of permission slip when you sign up - similar to how of it were an actual sex-Ed class (even though this is obviously not). As it’s an optional college course, you don’t even need to treat it like English where the snowflakes must be appeased before reading any individual book or novel that doesn’t align with their worldview. You just give the disclaimer, and if they don’t want to learn AP psych then I guess that’s their choice.

What part of the Parental Rights in Education Act would merely offering the course run afoul of?

It is rather amusing this topic is covered in “psychology”. As if our brains determine our gender. Your gender is determined at conception, before the brain even forms. As is your skin tone. No matter how hard I think about, I cannot change the color of my skin or my race. On a purely scientific basis, it is important for university not to contradict science. Leaving the social politics out of it, there is nothing good that will come from declining basic scientific law in an educational setting. University should be an education. Not a dumbing down.

There is nothing to be taught about gender identity, as it relates to psychology. It’s a purely biological subject matter. Your brain can’t change your gender. This isn’t even worthy of a discussion.

So in your view, your sexuality is fully determined before your brain even develops?

Lol gender is a social construct. Sex is determined at birth.
What do you know about how science works?

Rationalizing mental illness as being perfect healthy and something that doesn’t need to be treated is morally wrong. Addressing mental illness as something that should be celebrated is cruelty.

You - you're spreading lies and falsehoods w/o knowing what you're talking about. At least you looked into the course, but only after spewing a bunch of inane mistruths.

None of what you said has anything to do with science.
