The liberals overplaying their hand thing… What does that even mean? I keep seeing cons say this.

Meh. Right wing is replete with election deniers, pizza parlor warriors, Seth Rich conspirators, Trump worshippers, and social injustice warriors. No one of ilk cares what they believe, except GOP politicians. Destroying eduction is the path to controlling the ignorant.

You acted like you weren't politicizing education and the only people buying it anymore are people who were voting Democrat anyways who have this vested political interest in pretending that there is no problem.

Apparently there's a whole unit on gender identity and sexual orientation.

You don't think that's fair game in a psychology course?

    College? sure.

High school? Maybe a case can be made for it being a bullet point... at most a 1-2 day discussion.

A whole unit? Definitely a case of politicizing education.

Conservatives: "This gender stuff is mental illness"
Conservatives: "How dare they mention it in a psychology course!"

So you age one year and it becomes depoliticized? C'mon, this is ridiculous. What is political about it? You dont even know what they discuss, you just saw the magic words of gender identity and your mind goes to fantasy land.

You're purporting values that are about two days old and politically motivated scientific conclusions (which is to say not scientific) as science. And are therefore raising kids kids under secular progressive values under the guise of "teaching them science."

The emphasis on gender and sexual orientation is what gives away the game. An argument can be made that this wasn't the case if it was merely mentioned rather than a focus.

And even if it wasn't a focus. The purpose of the law was not to remove AP Psychology. It's because parents have rightfully lost trust in public schools and they don't want their kids being given their values by the public school system. AP Psych is merely an unwanted casualty because it's a borderline case (if it was only mentioned).

No Florida child is going to have their life ruined because they couldn't take AP Psych in high school.

You have to draw a line somewhere. We do it with beer, owning a gun, and getting a driver's license.

There is no marketplace of ideas for children and you have to draw the line as to when a child isn't a child anymore.

That trans women are women and trans men are men. And all sexual morality is equally moral and acceptable.
