I don’t have any information on the subject that isn’t open source, but artillery is where I would put my money. In both world wars, even with all of the city bombings and two atomic bombs, artillery was the greatest the cause of casualties, according to a couple of classes I’ve had on supporting arms. I’m told the same was true for Korea and Vietnam, too. Given that neither belligerent has achieved superiority in the air, my money is on artillery in this one.

Well I know the US is supplying Ukraine a fairly sophisticated (decoy drone) that has been effectively used against anti aircraft systems. The internet has numerous images of crashed US examples.

Not to be outdone by China, which has been using its version of Boy Scouts to teach children how to bayonet the enemy, Russia is using the Russian Orthodox Church to teach children how to bayonet the enemy. Fortunately, the anti-war priests were removed from any positions of influence over the Nazi-like activity. Everyone is welcome, except for Jews, blacks, Ukrainians, Lithuanians, Americans, Europeans, and other people too smart to teach their children how to use a bayonet against their neighbors. The unclassified range of a HIMARS is 300km (about 190 miles), and the classified range might be almost twice that (no idea). That first number is a bit farther than the distance from Jacksonville to Tallahassee. If you were to hold all of your formations that far from the front, you aren’t going to be very effective as an army. The key, then, is not trying to stay out of rocket artillery range, but rather to camouflage your position, reduce your electronic signal, and not stay in the same place for too long.
Maybe you're thinking of the ATACMS munitions, which we haven't given to Ukraine. The 227mm rockets we've given to Ukraine don't have nearly that much range. With that said, I agree that the best way to avoid that is to not present a target. Either with camouflage or just not gather tightly. The Storm Shadows and probably drones should be able to strike anywhere in Ukraine, so getting out of range is not an answer.
In terms of vehicle losses Polish military publicist said it was something like 70% artillery, 20% mines, then 10% by the rest. This correlates with Oryx figures, which last I saw had about 2000 losses, out of which about 1400 were by artillery, 400 to mines, and 200 to tanks, Javelins, etc.

The Russians have adjusted, their helicopters are now much better at deflecting MANPADS. A few days ago there was a report about how a Ka-52 deflected 18 MANPADS shots in one sortie. That's probably an exaggeration, but it's clear that they're operating much more effectively now. The Russian EW has clearly gotten considerably better overall. You also see far fewer Ukrainian drone attack videos on Russian armored vehicles. They're also making >1000 new tanks a year. I think the only area their MIC still hasn't stepped up nearly enough is in aircrafts.
It may have something to do with a child's mentality: I can't see him, so he can't see me. I'm sure the hierarchy of the Russian military also plays a part: no one questions the general, even if he gets distracted for two hours and the troops are sitting ducks.
I would think that some of the IFV's could be outfitted with AA guns, if electronic warfare is preventing Stinger missiles and similar equipment from working. EW equipment can't reason with simple bullets. A tank could also tow an AA unit behind it, and provide some minimal level of protection.
EW can’t mitigate the risk of a Stinger or any other infrared-guided missile, only RADAR-guided weapons. Flares are not effective either for reasons we won’t get into here. The only active unclassified countermeasures are terrain masking and combined arms, such as coordination with artillery to suppress likely areas where shooters might be. Stingers are nasty little weapons for helicopters.
