Considering it is an ongoing investigation by the FBI and they did everything they could to prevent Congress from even seeing a heavily redacted FD-1023, it's fair to assume the FBI has the recordings. Otherwise, why would they deem the source of the FD-1023 as "highly credible"?

In any case, Congress would have never learned about it until a whistleblower came forward in May to Chuck Grassley. The FBI initially declined to acknowledge the mere existence of the FD-1023. Under pressure from Congress, Wray eventually caved. I'd say they have tapes of Biden and they'll do everything they can to make sure they never see the light of day, as the implications are pretty obvious and a lot of people would be in trouble. Otherwise, the FBI would have simply told Congress the source wasn't credible and therefore we did not pursue further evidence.

Give it up. Even the GOP congressmen talking about this crap say they have no idea if the tapes exist. They now say one of the alleged whistleblowers is dead and another is a disgraced FBI agent.

More importantly, all of this emanates from Rudy Giuliani's "research" in Ukraine. It's all laughable unless your IQ is 2 digits.

Just a reminder from a previous post:
As many of you know, the FD-1023 is the form our special agents use to record raw, unverified reporting from confidential human sources (CHSs). FD-1023s merely document that information; they do not reflect the conclusions of investigators based on a fuller context or understanding. Recording this information does not validate it, establish its credibility, or weigh it against other information known or developed by the FBI in our investigations.
Message from the FBI on the FD-1023 Request from Congress

Trump's lawyers told him multiple times to return everything but instead he leaned on the advice of the judicial watch guy who has a BA in English. Trump deserves whatever happens to him and the Miami filing by Smith won't be the only one.

Thanks for posting. Informative. I imagine the bolded parts are probably key in this case.

Poster is either unaware of purposely misleading (BTW not the first time) :

How are the FD-1023 forms used?
The FBI says the form is used by agents “to record unverified reporting from a confidential human source” and that confidential human source information is “highly sensitive.”

Seems you're willing to believe anything other than Trump may be guilty of the crimes that are very clearly laid out in the indictment.

I imagine many very talented legal minds independently and jointly went through every letter/number/character of that indictment prior to presenting it to the grand jury. No prosecutor wants the first federal indictment of a former president to be rife with typos or to be prosecuting the president on the wrong theory or under the wrong law. That's the most laughable part, someone with no or extremely little criminal law experience suggesting Smith made an error of that magnitude.

All the whistleblower did is inform Congress of the existence of the FD-1023, which has obviously turned out to be very true. I'm not sure why it's important to make light of someone's death (as if that changes something) or impugn their reputations. As it relates to this case, everything (the existence of the FD-1023) the whistleblower came forward with is factual. The FBI has already confirmed that. We would have never known about the FD-1023 otherwise.

"But according to a senior law enforcement official who spoke with NBC News, the accusations contained in the FD-1023 were reviewed by the FBI and a Trump-appointed U.S. attorney when the report was first made in June 2020, and the claims were deemed unsubstantiated." Oh my! Try harder

Seems you're willing to believe Joe didn't know anything about the work his son was doing in Ukraine. After his history being shamed for lying and plagiarism. Do you really believe a father and Vice President did not know anything about what type of work or for whom his son worked for?

The existence the FD-1023 doesn't make it accurate anymore than the existence of the Steele dossier made it completely reliable.

If our evidence that the DOJ is biased is that they didn’t share the Biden tapes, and our evidence that the Biden tapes exist is that the DOJ is biased, we have a circularity problem.

LOL, "a senior law enforcement officer." If the accusations contained no merit, then why would the FBI try to hide them or claim they'd impede an investigation? Wray could have simply told Congress, "we found the accusations to be worthless and therefore dropped the matter. Oh, you want to see the FD-1023 form? Sure, here you go." It's an FD-1023 form. Congress wasn't asking the FBI to open an investigation. They just wanted the FD-1023 and had to work very hard just to get a heavily redacted version of it. If the accusations on the FD-1023 are worthless, then I would think the FBI would be more than happy to pass along the form and without redaction.
