Who trusts anything that Trump says other than the cult? There would be nothing to stop him from running again.

Pardon Hunter? What crime would he be pardoned for?

No deal, for anyone, anywhere. If Hunter and DJT are cellies, so be it.

And as G8tas said, possibly the dumbest possible thing that could be imagined is a "deal" with DJT. Which makes it much more likely the D's are seriously considering it.

I'm just not a fan of pardons except for cases of proven false imprisonment/charges or extenuating humanitarian reasons. Seems that the rich, powerful have a free pass enough already. Does the President pardon power allow for suspended sentence and nothing else?

No Pardon for Trump, but if he's convicted, would support commuting a prison sentence.

If Hunter is convicted of any crimes, no pardon or leniency whatsoever from his daddy, imo.

I’d take the deal if it means trump goes away.

I can see the value in trying to heal the divide. But at the same time laws are laws. As long as it’s applied to everyone the same.

I think the charges for the documents won’t hurt Trump but the obstruction charges don’t look good for him at all. Trump reaps what he sows.

Also, everyone here is going to continue to pretend Joe himself had nothing to do with Hunters dealings

Keep those ears and eyes closed folks.

Trump tried to overturn an election. No way, in my opinion, should he receive a pardon if he is convicted of that. As for Hunter Biden, if he is convicted of a crime, he should not be pardoned.

It's not necessarily the media, it's the politics that are corrupt. There are plenty of crooked politicians on both sides. Partisanship blinds people from seeing the crookedness on their side, and they focus only on the other side. If we started locking up more crooked politicians on both sides, I think more people would realize that. Nothing brings people together more than having a common enemy. That's how you start the healing process IMO.

If the $10 Joe got in 2017 for "Book Deals" turns out to be what some are claiming, he won't have the opportunity to pardon anyone when he is convicted of treason. But we will wait and see if the dots connected. I realize for some there will never be enough actual evidence presented to convince you but continue calling the other side the cult!!

Media chasing eyeballs is not going away in a capitalist society. I would replace “corrupt” with “profit-seeking”. Can’t have have public good media without regulated utility status.

Or any evidence at all. Bring charges. Write your Congressman and Senator if you have evidence.

Sorry I forgot how the game is played here at THFSG. The left here can connect dots, assume, have a feeling, or anything they want to try and diminish the right. But those of us on the right can't speculate at all. I said if it turns out as some are claiming!!! That is called speculation, just like 95% of the posts made in this forum!!!!

I want to see and hear Trump admit to guilt. Maybe I need that, considering how angry I am at his unforgivable actions after he lost the election.

And, I’d sure like an assurance that he did not share the sensitive information with other countries..

But I also see the beauty of your point, which is to shut everyone up on both sides and try to narrow that gaping divide.

As for Ford, the pardon cursed him throughout his presidency and for years after. It completely neutered him on the political stage.

Your OP referenced “enough evidence”. I’m asking for “any” evidence.

    Release the Kraken!

No really. I mean it. Let’s see the receipts. The problem in a nutshell (and this happens from Birtherism to election mules), the Trumpistas can never get past “people are saying”. How many times do you have to fall for the same shit?

Kennedy Library Foundation awarded the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award to Ford for his pardon of Nixon. In presenting the award to Ford, Senator Ted Kennedy said that he had initially been opposed to the pardon of Nixon, but later stated that history had proven Ford to have made the correct decision.

I think history has not been unkind to Ford’s pardon, but it was the political deathnell for Ford.

Convicted politicians and wealthy people need to go to a real prison. Not one of those country club places where they are allowed to go home on the weekends or have other perks.
