I have a few very random questions. Has Elizabeth always thrown to one side of the plate? Was it a common theme for her or did she learn to do that under Bosch?

Don’t know about high school, but in my recollection of her Gator career she was always primarily throwing that rise/screwball to one side of the plate. Then offset it with a change up.

It is rare for pitchers to add much to what they all ready throw when they get to college, and not everyone can throw every pitch..at least
to the level for it to be called in a game.

I went to the camp for pitchers and catchers today.
In CTM's opening statement, he said if you don't teach an off-speed pitch before graduating high school, your pitcher will probably not be successful. The batters will catch up with you no matter how hard you throw, i.e. the increasing decline of Kelly Barnhill.

One night on SEC now, the former Texas A&M 1B, gave an incredible breakdown on how you have to approach Hightower. Basically with Hightower, if she has the change up and screwball working you are done and have little chance. But if her change-up isn’t working you move up in the box and hunt her screwball and get it before it breaks.

Florida's softball camps started today and first up is advanced pitching. I wonder if the new pitching coach is at the camp. I am told the announcement is coming before the end of this month.
Former pitcher Natalie is at the camp. I don't know if any other former pitchers are there.

Never really appeared to be SEC caliber and probably knew she wasn't going to play much going forward.

I don't understand why she was recruited in the first place. Her high school accomplishments were not all that great.

Makes you wonder what was going on between the Lorenz/Barnhill class and the one coming in next year. A lot of people that weren't highly thought of or never panned out.

Samantha Bender was there. That is the only pitcher I saw besides Lugo.
Some others that were there: Bryn, Pal, The Big Viking, Kinsey, Kendra, and Baylee. That is who I remember, but I probably left out someone.

Recruiting coordinator for all those elite names too

Gigante was a late addition, she had missed time due to injury and was probably worth a shot since they had room.

In a tepid defense, as I agree she does not appear to be SEC caliber, she was pretty decent both pitching and hitting playing for the Batbusters. That's high level.

I probably should know this but I give up. Who is The Big Viking?

Unconfirmed report. A candidate is allegedly coming to interview for the position tomorrow. I know it's not Monica because she will be in Kansas. Plus. This person is from the ACC.
