    In my head--- UF
Cropped out flag on top is so dishonest

Flag code says nothing about the placement of the American flag in regard to other flags if the flags aren’t on a staff. It does say that the blue field of the flag should be on the observer’s left when the flag is displayed vertically. The American flags at the White House pride event were displayed in this way.

No it doesn’t. What did violate it was when the January 6th rioters took down the American flag from the top of the Capital building, and replaced it with a Trump flag.

What a bunch of malarkey. The flag on the roof is irrelevant. The provision in the flag code which was violated concerns flags displayed together in a group/side by side. The rooftop flag is not part of the group. This argument doesn’t pass the giggle test. If so, then Biden could place a tiny U.S.flag in the Oval Office and surround it with 5 bigger gay flags, and when Chick Norris shows up to shove the rainbow flags up ol’ Joe rectum, the dementia patient could point to the roof. Chuck knows better, and so do you.

Actually, that section on grouping pretty clearly describes a situation where the flags are on individual staffs. I don’t think any of that applies when it’s on a building, nor does it matter that there is a flag properly flying on the roof.

The only possible “error” I see is that the U.S. flag is supposed to be in the center (doesn’t have to be “higher” in that arrangement), but that would be if there were multiple other flags on display. In this case there are 2 U.S. flags on display vs. 1 pride flag. Would it be better technically if there were 2 smaller pride flags and 1 giant U.S. flag in the center? Maybe. My take: who gives a shit.

    (c) No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America, except during church services conducted by naval chaplains at sea, when the church pennant may be flown above the flag during church services for the personnel of the Navy.

So the issue as you see it is.. what… that one of the U.S. flags is placed the left of the pride flag (i mistakingly thought your complaint was the pride flag is the one “centered” as per if they were on staffs). It may indeed be. So they should remove the 2nd U.S. flag. But then you’d just have 1 of each flag. I see plenty of super-patriots who adorn their vehicles with 2 flags. Isn’t that, like, twice the patriotism? (No, it’s actually them also just committing a rolling flag etiquette violation, if we want to get stupidly technical).

We all know what this is about. The problem isn’t the positioning or even flag etiquette, it’s that the “pride” flag is there at all. Joe could have actually put all 3 as pride flags with the U.S. flag in its normal position on the roof. Would that have made you happier?

In any case, sorry… Dark Brandon is carrying all the cards on this one. As he actually does have “absolute authority” on this matter.

    10. Modification of rules and customs by President

Any rule or custom pertaining to the display of the flag of the United States of America, set forth herein, may be altered, modified, or repealed, or additional rules with respect thereto may be prescribed, by the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States, whenever he deems it to be appropriate or desirable; and any such alteration or additional rule shall be set forth in a proclamation.

American: drilling down a thousand miles to find a possible, and likely not, violation of a flag code most Americans annihilate every holiday.

    UnAmerican: liberties for The Gay.

Even more American: Creating special flag cops to arrest people for flag related crimes instead of addressing basic social problems

My issue is the display disrespects the American flag. Read the entire code, not just segments. The code was written to show the ultimate respect to the American flag….FIRST. The code envisions that any display of the American flag with other flags or banners should make the American Flag “pop” or at least not look secondary. You are so caught up in “pride” which has nothing to do with the flag code. Next topic: However, as polls are now demonstrating, the people are starting to get sick of a select few trying to force gay pride down everyone’s throat 24/7. If you were to take a poll of 100 people, and we all know that polls are bullshit, and ask them would you rather think about gay pride, or just listen to Birds chip. 100% of respondents would say they would rather listen to birds chirp. On behalf of 98+% of the population, let me make a proclamation: WE GET IT. YOU LIKE GAY STUFF. WE DON’T CARE ABOUT GAY STUFF, OR THE FACT THAT YOU LIKE GAY STUFF. WE DON’T CARE! NOW SHUT UP AND LET’S SOLVE REAL WORLD PROBLEMS TOGETHER. With this proclamation, can we now change the subject?

Good. I don’t care about “gay stuff” either, beyond the fact i think their civil rights should be protected 100% equally. Obviously many on the right don’t presently agree that they should be treated 100% as equal citizens.

Maybe if you are tired of hearing it, request that your masters in right wing media to stop driving false outrage and harping on “flag etiquette” that would otherwise go unnoticed? This was top story in right wing circles. Just like Bud Light. Target Etc. Do you even comprehend you are being manipulated? You may claim not to care. But apparently lots of people do care so much they are willing to shoot up beer cans over it, you are here talking about it, unfortunately that means I have to talk about how stupid the “outrage” is, my sense that it’s all rooted in bigotry, etc.
