You think you are at WAR. Which is beyond crazy.

After your meltdown above, sorry, but you are no longer worth the trouble. Your post is highly offensive and all that is wrong with politics today. You refuse to accept the truth in the face of facts. This is a YOU problem.

I have my doubts that one state will criminally charge another state's governor without slam-dunk evidence that he explicitly told a contractor to do something illegal.

I don’t expect DeSantis to be charged in California, but if he was just some ordinary jackass, who was responsible for the transfer of asylum-seekers from Texas to Sacramento, based on a bunch of lies, I would expect him to be charged with a crime.

I told you before I was done trying to educate you on these things. You lack the education, intellect and, most importantly, the temperament to learn. I've read your posts since, nothing has changed. I'll just continue to flag the misstatements.

You haven't presented any evidence of DeSantis's innocence in this. You've relied on supposition, deflection, and insults to bolster your credentials as #1 DeSantis Apologist.

For example: presented with an absolutely unassailable fact, such as the cost of the two junkets, your response was, "leave the guy alone, Florida's got a lot of money."

So what if it was an absurd amount of money to waste on a publicity stunt (that DeS can't even own now)

So what if that money was single-sourced to a big donor in the Republican party

So what if DeS meddles in the affairs of other states, unasked and unwelcome, on the taxpayers of Florida's dime

It's all just a big SO WHAT to you.

I thought this thread was about prosecuting DeSantis for kidnapping.

Strong letters to the editor this am

GOP legislators beg migrants to keep working in Florida | Column, June 9

    Tax dollars at work

Let me get this straight. The governor of Florida is using taxpayer money to send migrants to other states while his acolytes in the Florida Legislature are begging migrants to stay and work in Florida? Seems the use of undocumented immigrant labor is good for the bottom line of those who support the governor. The old saying, “You get what you pay for,” definitely applies to our elected officials, and it’s unfortunate for those of us who did not vote for them.

    David Burg, Tampa

Let’s probe the character of Gov. Ron DeSantis | Column, June 9

    Tax-funded cruelty

The column by Charles B. Dew probing the character of Gov. Ron DeSantis cites just one example that highlights the underlying character of DeSantis and his party’s agenda. That characteristic is cruelty, and in this case, cruelty at taxpayer expense. Besides deceit, sweetheart deals with carriers for the flights to California, lying about the true intentions to the public, etc., these flights are purposely designed to disrupt the lawful exercise of the law in the U.S. to which all refugees are entitled. This is not a bug — it’s a feature of the cruel stunt this administration has funded with our tax dollars, money that would help Florida much more by tackling issues here at home. I believe that DeSantis shows no character, and is driven only by ambition, cruelty and a sense of entitlement. He is one of the worst players on the public stage that I’ve witnessed in nearly seven decades as an American.

Worst in 7 decades? No idea if this guy is (R) or (D) but he must have been asleep during the Trump years.

The Desantis stunt is less “cruel” than family separation policy I’d say, and while the funding of the flights seem corrupt (if not obviously criminal), Trump is Griftimus Maximus. It’s bad, but Desantis is a lightweight and doesn’t have the same… charisma. Welcome to your new GOP.

Fair. I took it as reading from a Florida perspective but he doesn't necessarily say that

Ah. That could be what he meant. Might be worst FL Governor, i wouldn’t know. I read it as national because he used broad terms “on the public stage” and “As an American” (as opposed to as a Floridian).

Haven’t read through the thread so this may have been covered, but why not go after transportation company and impound vehicles used in the commission of an alleged felony? Guarantee the company or future ones wouldn’t risk sending flights or busses into the state if they risked losing them in a multi-year battle to reclaim their property.

It’s probably a bargain. New York has been housing those homeless out of state for years.

The planes are likely safely back in Florida and the busses were probably local rentals.

Sure, I think you’re likely correct. I’d publish that the state is going to impound the plane if it comes back in the state and flag the plane’s tail number. Make that company and its owners second guess involving themselves in Desantis’s scheme.
