Yes he is (full of sh*t). He's grasping at straws as a form of deflection.

Once more adding that the definition of "weaponization" as used by MTG and most Republicans means not according Trump special treatment by virtue of his former position and candidacy or in other words not placing him above the law.

I’m using “less a person than a collection of terrible traits” No way Trump came up with that himself.

    Trump's email today:
    Friend,

In roughly 24 hours, I will be ARRAIGNED in federal court despite having committed no crime whatsoever.

The price to save our country is high in Crooked Joe’s America: vicious attacks, endless witch hunts, and politically charged indictments and arrests.

But if this is the cost to see our mission through to the end, to restore our free Republic, and to revive the greatest country in the history of the world, then it’s a price I’m willing to pay.

You see, Biden, the radical Democrats, and the Deep State all believed that after Soros’ hand-picked state prosecutor failed to break us, that this federal indictment would finally bring our movement to its knees.

The truth is, I could walk into the courthouse tomorrow, throw in the towel, denounce our mission to save America, and end our 2024 campaign, and magically, the charges would disappear.

But rest assured, Friend, I will NEVER, EVER SURRENDER our country to the Left’s tyranny!

Which is why despite their vicious attacks, our campaign to Make America Great Again carries on all the same.

And when these sick and twisted radicals see that even tomorrow’s events will NOT break our movement, then in that very moment, they’ll know they’ve already LOST.

No matter what happens tomorrow, our resolve to SAVE AMERICA has never been stronger!

I found this interesting. The Federal sentencing guidelines for just the Espionage Act charges adds points for obstruction, leadership and abuse of trust. This obviously is intended to deter people in positions of authority and trust from breaking these laws. All the more support as to why trump should be indicted. We elected him to protect us and he reneged on his commitment to do so.

Of all the takes on this thread, the one I like best is trump was treated just like Biden and Pence. He was asked for any classified documents in possession and was not charged for those he returned. All the charges stem from actions subsequent to the initial ask which highlights the false equivalence.

    Pound sand, defenders!

I saw something that said just on these 37 items he’s looking at 400 years. Not counting Georgia and Jan 6th I hope the freaking monster serves all of it.

if necessary freeze him and leave him in a cell.

That's maximum, with a minimum of 5 years. With this being Trump's first Fed offense, I've read the best guess is around 15-20 years if convicted.

Selective enforcement is a defense, but going to be very difficult to prove. Pence fully cooperated and didn't obstruct. And the FBI twice said Hillary tried to be compliant, and in over 30,000 emails, only about 100 with any potential issues. Contrast that with Trump not cooperating, lying, moving boxes, and showing classified docs to those without clearance on purpose.

Hunter bitching about having to pay 'the big guy' 1/2 his income, and the WB confirming 'the big guy' = Joe Biden, = the nexus you would like to pretend isn't there.

BTW, the timing of the unsealing of Trump's indictment was no accident.

It was calculated to divert attention from Comer's investigation.

...which of course must mean, it's nothing.

    Right?

B/c you time release of a major sealed indictment based on insignificant nothings...

Insignificant nothings? Read the indictment. Trump was in possession of highly classified documents, refused to return them when requested and lied to the court regarding disposition of the documents. Maybe that is insignificant to you but not to the grand jury that examined the evidence. You are indeed living an a bubble and so far there has been absolutely no evidence that Joe Biden received any payments from the Chinese and there most likely never will be. I would concede that that Hunter Biden is a sleaze who may have monetized his familial relationship but that in no way inculpates his father.

He probably should have mentioned it although it's a virtual given that Trump would try to milk his sheep-like supporters. The one quality of Trump that has remained a constant is that he is perhaps the greatest con artist in history and hopefully he will not be able to con his way to the presidency for a second time.

"Insignificant nothings" was my facetious reference to Biden's malfeasance, not Trump's.

I've already acknowledged that the indictment of Trump lays out serious charges. I'm not downplaying that.

Trump had no business laying claim to military and highly sensitive national defense intel, and even less, playing shell games with them with not just the government, but his own attorneys.

Smells to high hell; I'll have to defer to his attorneys to hear their spin on it, cause I'm slap out of any ideas about how to rationalize that.

...but Trump's dirt does not amount to Biden's wet farts smelling like roses.

    Not even in comparison.

This is the utter nonsense that Rudy Giuliani "found," right?
