While I don't know, I would be not thrilled with two of them. My understanding is the Arizona coach was a teammate and longtime friend of the Zona head coach. The pitching tanked this year and Zona didn't make the tournament and she was fired. I don't know details but not a great resume builder. As for the Tech guy, again getting fired in the middle of the season for undisclosed reasons doesn't look good on the resume. I think we can do better than those two.
You'd think Tim would have learned his lesson about hiring a coach that was fired from his/her former team. Hope that's not thee list.. gotta be better to choose from.
Bad stretch in the Brewer house....her brother Brandon was on staff at Miami so he is gonna be looking too
From w I know this was from a week or so, BUT... it's been making me think. Why is that a rule? From the way it reads she could coach for another team but not Florida because she didn't get her degree. Seems like a strange rule. Too bad too, she'd be the perfect fit with two pitcher/batters coming in. Really a strange rule.
That’s true pretty much required everywhere. Deion had to complete some weak online degree before he could become head coach at Jackson
Some are saying that applies to the head coach, not to an assistant. I have no clue. Just repeating some comments I saw.
Here's a posting from the UFAA for an assistant lacrosse coach that is dated 5/30/23. Notice that a Bachelor's degree is a Preferred Qualification, not a Required one. I would imagine the same applies to softball, although not positive. University of Florida, Assistant Coach (F/T)
Someone brought up Maddie Holub, the Marshall pitching coach. I just saw that the head coach at Marshall got the head coaching job at North Carolina. She might go with the head coach, so she must be contacted soon. I think CTW has his coach done and is waiting to announce it. Maddie Holub - Softball Coach - Marshall University Athletics
Yeah, waiting wouldn't be a smart move. Plus he does need to get on those transfers, he'll be out of the country soon. Get on it Tim.
The wait to hear who's going to be new pitching coach is making me nervous. Just want to know it's someone that knows what they're doing. The lack of movements with transfer pick up is also a head scratcher. Knowing that we need at least two pitchers from the portal. Tim needs to get his ass in gear. It's not the time for complacency.
