Some giving away billions doesn’t sound much like an ass to me.

He’s making a comment about lazy workers. Not all workers, why can’t you admit some people really are lazy slack jaws who just want to get a check and not really work?

Maybe you should get out of your bubble man.

He’s not saying some. The best thing about the the pandemic was that workers finally got to give corporate America the high hard one. I spent 30 years going in to an office 5 days a week sometimes with an hours commute. Mow I spend 3 days at home and I’m way happier and way more productive

Next step needs to be a 4 day work week. It also enhances productivity. Also blue color workers should get at least 3 weeks vacation a year.

    Good for you!

You must have one of those jobs where interacting with employees or customers is not required(lucky for them).
If you hated the commute perhaps changing jobs might have been in order…

Sadly many jobs can’t be done remotely, and many are glad their jobs are not remote.

Same when my metal roof was done. Part of crew was Guatemalan and part was country boy. Way more work was done when the Guatemalan part was there. But they weren’t on their phones all day

Maybe rather than being "fat and lazy", the younger generation does not have the same maniacal need to accumulate "crap" that can only be attained by working like slaves for someone like this guy? Maybe they are apolitical, not tied to an economic system, especially one that concentrates wealth into the hands of only a few elites, and want something else. Maybe this guy is just too intellectually incapable of understanding that, so he uses simple, ugly word like "fat and lazy" out of total ignorance?

Why do you care to post what some other person thinks of the world? WTF?

Are you such a slave to outrage that you're compelled to share bullshit like this?

There is no bottom to your spiraling.

How gratuitous of you. "Yeah, let them in so we can give them all our shit jobs nobody else wants to do." Nice made up story, but what you're proposing would actually kill their demand and thus their income would deflate like a hot air balloon that has been popped and come crashing to the ground. Plus, they would have to start paying taxes on some of that income. A double-whammy. They've got a good deal now. They don't want your types f'ing it up for them.

Home Depot can’t get workers at the pay they are offering for the work they demand. That is a two sided equation. Workers are one side. The pay and work required is the other side. It’s not about work ethic it’s about balancing the equation.

The American dream is alive and well but it’s stuck trying to get over a wall on the Texas border.

His post was very illustrative of how the left views immigrants. Merit based immigration already occurs here in the United States at a 6:1 ratio higher than any other 1st world country. He wants to let the illegals in for the cheap labor and votes.

My understanding was the US was much less merit based than others like Canada, and more familial based. But I could be wrong. I’d like to see your source.

We need to make a choice - allow more immigrants for cheaper labor, or don’t and accept lower productivity and more inflation, and eventually more automation. Opposing immigration and then whining about young people being lazy is a load of crap. They can work these jobs or not. It’s their choice. It’s not like we have a European style welfare state.

Probably 80-90% of our team claimed the same thing when they were working remotely, unfortunately, for most jobs, the numbers say otherwise.

We went to a four day work week in January 2018. Employees like it, but we saw no gain in productivity that year and in 2019. 2020 and 21 it became damn near impossible to break down individual variables because of the shutdowns.
