Baseball at SC, Sat 6/10, ~5:36 pm

3 total hits and it's the umpires fault SC lost... Following this thread umpire sounded like he was awful for both teams. Florida took advantage of what they had. South Carolina did not. Plus Waldrep threw an absolute gem tonight!!

To think Wyatt and Jac were held down. Our pitching and our defense was that good!!!!

 

SEC umps had a consistently tight strike zone all year. This crew was from somewhere else and the guy tonight was somewhat inconsistent, but generally he had a bigger zone than either team was used to. And it went both ways, for sure.

When he has his splitter going he is nearly unhittable and his splitter was FILTHY today. Lots of swing and miss on pitches in the dirt.

Speaking of his splitter, when there was a dropped third strike (second inning IIRC) and the batter ran inside the basepath and interferred with Riopelle's throw does the catcher or the first baseman get the put out?
